Flintoff - England's gladiator supreme 5:01pm on 20 Jul 2009 What a great performance. A little nervy after that partnership between Haddin and Clark, admittedly, but but still a great team performance from England, every player playing an important role in the win. Would you believe it the first time England have beaten anyone but West Indies and New Zealand in a live test match since Pakistan in 2006- Almost 3 years. The perfect time to end that run.

Well, get rid of them then. The county game should be geared around producing england players and not for benefiting the counties. If a few less well-off ones have to go then so be it. It would certainly see an improvement in the quality of english domestic cricket if the kolpak-loving leicestershires and northants etc. were chucked out- less mediocre sides bringing down the overall standard and intensity of cricket.

If we are going to form an EPL kind of event it should use the existing counties, but say only 8 or 9 who qualify. The rest can compete in the existing Twenty20 Cup. That way the better teams would compete in the EPL each year (with a convenient number of teams) and the shoddy Division 2 Kolpak-dependents won't ruin it.

A team are desperately struggling to hold on to a narrow 1-0 lead with just a few minutes of the game left. They cannot keep up with the opposition's relentless attacks and it is a miracle the game has not been levelled. As a result, the team defending the lead place all their outfield players along with the goalkeeper on their own goal line in such a way that it is near impossible for the opposition to score. What is your course of action?

This compares to his entire test career of 57 matches, 212 wickets at an average of 31.39 with a strike rate of 58.5
