Tennessee hit troubling times 3:05pm on 13 Oct 2009 If Tampa have any sense they'll give Johnson a decent shot, he's got a hell of an arm and his accuracy will pick up working with the first team offense, his accuracy in college was freakish, plus he's got a nifty turn of speed for scrambling. I like the kid. he could be one of the few bright spots of their season.
Tennessee hit troubling times 1:48pm on 13 Oct 2009 But if you don't try Vince Young now then you're writing off the season anyway, in my opinion the Titans were pretty unlucky to lose against the Steelers in week 1 but that was very much the high watermark in terms of performance.

They don't have marquee receivers but against the Steelers, Britt and Gage did a decent enough job, but Collins just doesn't have the accuracy or distance to play a pass heavy offence, his talent was always in managing the game and as the original article said, even that's questionable this year, they have to try Vince Young, if it turns out he can't cut it then the season is no better ot worse than it was already and the team can cut him loose and hope to pick up someone in trade or take a QB in the draft.

But I've said it before there may be a few down at the bottom looking for QB's this year, The Raiders can't keep letting Russell stink up the field, the Browns have to be in the market given Anderson and Quinn's travails so far, St Louis?, Miami?

Are any of the names in your post 131 proposing to remove tax credits from couples earning over £50000 a year on the the basis that they don't need them while claiming mortgage interest off the taxpayer and being a millionaire?

Because that is what Cameron is doing. It completely undermines the case he is trying to make for austerity. "We're all in this together"? I should coco.
Has he got a Legg to stand on? 11:19am on 13 Oct 2009 To all those defending Cameron's mortgage expenses, is it churlish to point out that this is a millionaire claiming taxpayers money to pay part of his mortgage, who aas one of his first acts as Prime Minister is going to oversee the removal of tax credits for families earning over £50000 a year to save public money.

I don't care if it's within the rules, pretty much all the claims were within the rules, I don't particularly care about Cameron's background, but I do care that an independently very wealthy man is claiming taxpayers subsidy for a mortgage while telling far less wealthy individuals that they can't have public money for their families.

Mangini goes from bad to worse 11:06am on 02 Oct 2009 To be fair to the Browns QB's you could have Joe Montana under centre and it wouldn't make Braylon Edwards' hands any stickier, he's dropped passes that my wife could've caught.

I'm not sure the Cowboys are that much better than any other side the Bronco's have faced so far either, I think the Bengals are a pretty solid side this year and while the Bronco's did only just manage to sneak past them they did beat them and Romo seems a bit up and down this season, indeed he's had some periods in games where he's looked pretty ordinary. I expect the Cowboys to win but it'll be a tight game.
Controversial Vick returns to the NFL 1:50pm on 29 Sep 2009 Vick's future at Philly really depends on Vick's level of ambition for his return, Kolb has really stepped up in place of McNabb these last two games, McNabb is 33 by the end of the season, this is probably his last big shot, if he can't get Philly to at least the conference final this year then I can see him moving on, then it comes down to a fight between Vick and Kolb for the starters job, but Vick would be a solid back up and a lock for the wildcat, Vick's future depends on Vick.

Drafting a QB in the draft, there'll be a lot of teams other than the Eagles looking for QB's and a few that'll be ahead of them on form, you've got to think the Browns are going to look for one, Bulger's getting on so the Rams have got to be thinking about it, Unless Vince Young undergoes a startling rehabilitation the Titans are sure to be looking, in fact either way Kerry Collins can't go on forever, Warner and Favre must retire at some stage, Heck even the Raiders might bite the bullet on Russell's contract. I've not really followed the college season but is there that much depth in the college QB's this year?

Sorry but whatever Crabtree looked like in college you'd have to have concerns about his attitude, he'll have had a full year not playing a game and has never played a game at NFL level anyway and will be looking for a better contract than your first round pick next year, he's just a big bundle of problems, what the Jets do seem to have going for them at the moment is a great team spirit, Crabtree is just going to destroy that.

The history of the NFL is littered with players who looked like future stars in college but ended up being just average in the NFL, look at Reggie Bush as a recent example.

Yes Wide receivers do tend to have ego's but refusing to sign a contract because you don't agree with your draft slot? that's a whole new level.
