Football helping our Armed Forces heroes 3:25pm on 11 Nov 2009 I remember watching Stanty and dixon in their first, only and worst FA cup match for Reading when the lowly non league opposition beat them at Elm park 2-1, to win their first FA Cup tie against league opposition. The team was Bishops Stortford (gods that year) who reached the 3rd round and drew with Malcolm Allisons Boro at Arysome Park (we were 2-0 down at half time but scored twice in 5 minutes after the restart)before losing in the reply. Phil was a credit in the army as a soldier and as a professional footballer. I bet Bury didn't pay that much to buy him out either!!

I'm glad that someone pointed out the rifle, BBC journalists should be the guardians of correct English and correct terminology. A minute on google would have highlighted the weapon that Phil was holding. Over 10 pounds of shoulder bruising recoil in my memory!!

My first time at Spa will live with me forever 8:55pm on 30 Aug 2009 Have a lot of time for DC. First saw him race at the F3000 race at Spa in 92. We were at the old subway wall just passed the Bus Stop. Two other Brits were racing in that time, Paul Stewart and Allan Mcnish. On the cool down lap, DC was waving to every brit he could see.. Mcnish did the same, but Stewart didn't...

Never saw Senna crash in 88, I was at the other end of the circuit!
Classic Spanish Grands Prix 11:14pm on 05 May 2009 91 was by far the most eventful. Mansell overtook Senna twice and caught the Hare Berger and passed him with the best overtaking move of the lot! Senna spun as well + it was a wet/dry race. Giles drive in the tractor of 81 would be my second..

The Olympic's haven't been for amatuers for some time for the most of the sports!!
Even the boxers (who technically do not get paid for fighting) get better funding than the swimmers!

Do you buy a lottery ticket every week? I hope so, becuase if you do, it is your money levdavidovich, that is sponsoring my great enjoyment this weekend!
From Miss Nobody to greatest British swimmer for 100 years 3:59pm on 16 Aug 2008 She is a professional swimmer that recieves only £10,000 for being an elite squad prior to her sucess. Most people in this country wouldn't get out of bed for that "expense money" for the pain and effort she has to put in.

Well done Becky, your mother is going to be mega busy with the endorsment contracts and nobody should begrude you for that!
