Mourinho will relish Man Utd test 3:16pm on 19 Dec 2008 Top draw!

I love this time of year and love the champions league! I think its even better than the F.A cup most of the time as these are top teams going against each other and I go out of my way to see them every year. The excietment from last year is still strong this year and all the premiership teams will be throwing down the gauntlet with other top teams.

Perfectly formatted tournement in my opinion (UEFA cup is poor in comparison with organisation) and can't wait!

Nothing on the review of the week which is full of wit. I sometimes enjoy these articles but its usually once in a blue moon.
Annan prepare for festive football 3:00pm on 17 Dec 2008 Agree with summer football as it would make it interesting and its alot nicer going to a game when its sunny.

Only problem was the Spartans link. Surely its a football team so would be good to see about the team rather than the Sparta and the Spartans from 300.

Its just that some people around the premiership that have failed at teams should consider going to lower leagues to have another go. I hope Ince does this and learns more on where it went wrong, etc.
Taylor made for Wycombe 12:31pm on 17 Dec 2008 Taylor has managed some teams higher and lower and I'm impressed he went to League two again. Some managers that fail at teams should consider regaining the basics and moving down the leagues in order to get a good record going again and to have a go at promotion. Good luck to Taylor

Surely he hasn't had a fair shot and most managers nowadays aren't. Something should be done now to stop all this before it gets silly.

There are other factors for the club losing. The board that picked him or players playing at the moment. They aren't sacked are they.

If I was a manager and a player wasn't doing very well, I'd sack him as your the one who is going to get sacked in the end for his failings.

At least Ince gets paid for it. Waste of money for the club as they now have to hire a new boss on a huge wage i bet.

Have managers sign contracts for that year and they have to see them out unless they leave themselves.

OR

Have a standard amount of time the manager has to be in the job before a team is allowed to sack them. E.g. Can't sack a manager between August up until February.

OR

Do what was previously suggested and balance out the vast space of money between the championship and the premiership. Going down should be about pride as suggested and not about financial issues.

Ince forced out by fear factor 2:41pm on 16 Dec 2008 Mark Hughes won't be sacked at Man City as he hasn't been given the funds yet and people have seen how good he is! It goes to show how good he was aswell taking them to seventh. I don't think he would have allowed Bentley to leave imo.

I'm disappointed Ince went as he needed time and wasn't given it.

I think managers should be signed on for a year and have to complete it! It would make it more interesting and stop this lunacy that is going on.

If you go down, you go down and thats that! Usually its not wholly down on the manager but the players!

Also, there are three teams that go down. Not everyone can stay up so switching managers all this time would only make it worse.

Unless you get Harry Redknapp or Roy Hodgson..........
