Review of the week 4:45pm on 23 Jul 2009 Dixie that's easy enough to say, but why did a striker we bought in on a free out-perform him? Why did Shola Ameobi outperform him? They both had the exact same management.
Looking forward to a new season 9:36pm on 17 Jul 2009 Looks to be alot of poor/average teams in the league this year, I honestly feel this year is going to see increased Spanish Primera popularity. There just seems to be more to offer over there, and I can't think of one eye-catching transfer in the EPL yet. Maybe more is to come, I'm just hopeful of some more deals/excitement. Hope Liverpool steal the league too, sick of Man Utd although I feel sorry for SAF, who can't attract anyone noteworthy.

I think Wigan may go down, or at least struggle. Valencia, Palacios, Heskey are all huge losses, as well as Zakis early season form. Looks like Cattermole may leave, and will Mido be returning to Wigan? They've basically lost there entire strikeforce and the strongest players in the midfield. This, with the loss of Bruce, and replacing him with a unproven premiership manager is a huge risk. They can't attract players of the same calibre that they've lost.
Review of the week 10:13am on 10 Jul 2009 Fathomer, Owens signing is undoubtedly a risk, but for a 2 year deal at £50k a week he's costing them approx £5m. What else can you get for £5m? Bobby Zamora?

I really dislike Owen, his form and commitment toward the end of his Newcastle stay were awful. He was dropped for Lovenkrands, a player who we signed on a free and went on to score more than Owen in a similar amount of games. The amount of sitters he missed was unbelievable. His skills as a captain were non-existant.

However, for a (previously) proven goalscorer there is potential in the move for Utd, they just better hope he actually puts more than 10% commitment into his stay.

Decent read, not much to talk about, I'm worried about English football atm, no clubs can attract players. Man City with there millions still can't bring in worthy players, Man Utd can't bring in anyone.
Sbragia faces moment of truth 11:51am on 26 Apr 2009 Cryin', Newcastle have made a profit over both the Summer and January tranfser windows. Let me guess, now we'll deserve to go down for not spending enough money?

The table doesn't lie, we've played horrendously, and had the worst possible season considering the non-playing aspect too.

Still hopeful we'll stay up, 3 home games, all winnable (and must-win). Also a slight possibility of getting something from Villa on the last day of the season, out of form and they'll probably be playing for nothing by then.

Liverpool away, well it's Liverpool, hopefully a high scoring game :)

I'm hopeful for us now after feeling negative for the last few weeks, but am I the only person who realises that Guttierez simply isn't EPL standard?
The Title Race Is Back On? Nahhhh! 6:22pm on 16 Mar 2009 @ #82, how can you say Man Utd were the better team? They lost because they were defensively shocking, and only managed to score because of a keeping howler by Reina. The 'Best Team in the Country' deserved to win because they screwed up 3 times and their opponents once?

Don't make me laugh, Ferdinand was outclassed, Vidic looked useless, Evra can't defend and Gerrard bossed the midfield. Liverpool deserved the win, it's still probably not enough to win the league, but accept defeat when you deserve to.
The Title Race Is Back On? Nahhhh! 5:54pm on 16 Mar 2009 Good blog, it's just gettin a bit tedious that every blog seems to be on about Boro at the moment. There are like 8 or more teams still down there struggling.
