There is no evidence which links voting turnout to fast food or short attention spans. It is much more credibly linked to popular perceptions of risk, social cohesion and the positioning of the issues. in most electoral studies. I don't see what you can achieve with such simplicity. Howabout the BBC stops the meandering whimsy and 'poetry-journalism' and just gives us the facts so we can make our minds up without your way off editorialising.

bottom line i think is most people don't really hates labour - they're just annoyed about their house prices - i also think the general feeling on brown is he's a bit dull after blair. most of the anti-gordon stuff is just hype - there is not the real hatred of philosophies and individuals that there was against the tories in '97

i think gordon could do well to tell the british people to grow up/get a grip and stop believing the stupid media editiorials and he'd be respected for it.

It is only natural for talented players to want to develop their careers like anyone else. The same thinking should apply as in any other industry - all employees naturally want to move on and up, it is the natural way of the world.

Just because an employer values an employee it doesn't mean they should have to stay there out of duty or be forced to be happy somewhere when they have greater ambitions (although I am sure SAF does not believe this).

Ronaldo isn't breaking the law and if a transfer goes through it will all be through the legal means and Utd will be well compensated.

Brian - you have been mis-informed. I've been at many a football match in germany and young fans have always been fanatical and patriotic. Just look at some coverage from past tournaments. I'm sure the BBC has copies of the footage. This kind of remark is pretty patronising but I know how old school British journalists love to bring the war into everything. A continental journalist would never have made a remark like that.
