Accepted with ease 1:35pm on 08 Jul 2009 MP's have had the culture of "their hands in our pockets" for decades, AM's haven't been around more than a decade, and yet to a lesser extent they have adopted the low standards of Parliament. With MPs' it is the arrogance of law makers. What is the AMs' excuse - depression they can't make law?

Instead of that ugly pointless building they could have bought a block of flats and stuck the AM's in there!

However, whilst they may be brain dead, AM's aren't stupid; what they lose on the expenses, they'll vote themselves back in pay rises with interest!
David Bain's Brain Strain 4:41pm on 08 Jun 2009 I would point out that the eating of humans is bad for you, tribal people who have indulged over a period time have developed Kuru.

As to the ethics of killing animals as food, bear in mind we humans have breed and raised the animals in vast unsustainable numbers in specially contrived areas (farms) in order to feed us. We have traditionally protected them from predators such as wolf and bear. These animals would exist in small isolated groups if not so protected, if they were not exterminated for crop damage. Compare the farm animals lot to the feral goats of Pembrokeshire which must be culled to prevent starvation due to over population as there are no predators to control their numbers! Or would you prefer the release of wolves to rip the still living animal apart? Most humane!

Some of us do not now have jobs – nice one WAG and Westminster (well WAG claims to be government! – Can’t have it both ways as normal) so it not our second day!

Also many of us were voluntary sector being destroyed to secure duplicitous jobs in WAG and local authorities!

But that’s news! Like WEFO recalling contracts for Convergence – something else not investigated! Wasn’t on the One Wales list of prescribed questions for 2008!

No story on WEFO withdrawing all Convergence funding this week except what it gave itself – even for contracts awarded.

How come?

Too close to home? Might have to question the party leader and de facto head of BBC Wales - Rhordi? Too close to the parties invites to risk investigating?

If they put that effort into work then of course they would not come top in deprivation!

Most of it in my considerable experience is the councillors and politicos who do not want the people to rise out of deprivation in case they lose power! Nice people!
Happy tail? 4:09pm on 22 Nov 2008 Wonderful idea that Britain will be expected to follow whilst the rest ignore and blame each other for “lapses” (aka criminal fishing) by claiming exclusive aboriginal rights!

Lets have each EU country patrol the sea fishery of another, with bonuses for catching the illegal fishing folk – even their own!

At least using a virtual poacher would be better than months of meaningless but very expensive trips for ministers!

It might save the fish too!
How many noughts? 2:13pm on 28 Oct 2008 What is most interesting is the "it's your fault attitude" of the so called financial directors of these councils. When it goes well - it is my genius, when I mess up "it's your fault!" Heads I win, tails I claim to have won! As well as stupidly high salaries for being glorified bookkeepers can they also have RESPONSIBILITY for the decissions they make!

The CEO's of our councils (practentious joppinjays) the town clerks (when they achieved things) should also have RESPONSIBLITY and where there are poor ratings - the sack.

Who knows this may bring in good governance to councils, then we can use it on the real waste of space! Anyone for a public humillation of the AMs.

One poor da is "OUTRAGED" about her method of payment for her council tax, was she worried it would show as coming out of her AM expenses?
Strategic thinking 3:33pm on 24 Oct 2008 1. Clear, decisive and strategic thinking outside the “silo” (your word).

This should give Wales a clearly re-invigorated civil service, one fit for the 21st Century. OK that is the theory.

Reality, it will be the same people hunkered down behind a “different” “silo”, because when the interview is on they passionately believe and always have believed in line 1, but were restrained from achieving its full potential, now however......... (roses grow well here)

Once this waste of time interview is done it will be business almost usual, the supporters will be dragged higher up the pole, new “responsibilities” will merit new reviewed (that means higher in public sector – never down) salaries.

New name changes to ensure there can be no like for like comparisons.

Usual crew win, reform do not be silly.
A fairer society? 1:35pm on 20 Oct 2008 The only change is the names, some of the Fred the Shred's will disappear but some other great in their own vie,w to some other of those seedy individual who will willingly take their place!

What is more relevent to the people, we cannot change these superrich, never have been able to, the govUK does not ant to change them, could loose non-executive directorships, is the beastlyness of little potentates, in their view, to those whom the are meant to serve!

Mandelson is to review flexible working for families because ofeconomic crisis, made not only yourself, the week after the fat cats voted extra hols at Christmas for themselves!

What's the betting it is Westminster or Sneydd for her next!

Once on the gravy train, they never get off!

What exactly did she do in EU?

What do any of them actually do?

Oh they set rules as to the size of walnits in the shell once! Worth every penny that!
