Have you seen the results Spurs have been getting? So inconsistent, so poor.

Redknapp is an incredibly average manager.
Moyes & Everton deserve glory 08:42am on 20 Apr 2009 Are any other Everton fans terrifed (but also equally excited) by the prospect of an Everton victory on May 30.

Look what happened to Redknapp after his FA Cup triumph - he was held in high enough esteeem by a so-called 'bigger club' to be brought in, leaving the players and staff with whom he had achieved FA Cup glory.

I just Moyes hopes that FA Cup victory is something you build on, not a guaranteed way to the Managerial Hall of Fame and a job at a 'bigger' club.

Anyway...you don't get any bigger than Everton.
England still need Owen 3:09pm on 30 Mar 2009 And Phil, where do you think Owen will be next season? As you say so succinctly in your blog every time Newcastle drop Owen, they only contribute to their own demise towards Champinship status. Surely Owen then needs to move a club which appreciates his considerable, admittedly injury-interrupted, class?

I hear Everton have been sniffing around. Do you think that would be a good move, or any move for that matter?

The flight to quality 11:27am on 22 Jan 2009 I know that, as MIhir points out so sparsely in his 'blog', that the current economic crisis necessitates sparse spending but I had no idea it necessitates an economy of words and such frugality when it comes to words, Mihir.

This is a really lazy peace of writing and most of it is used up with a long quote from Mr Wyness.

How can he get away with this?

I enjoyed reading this but why do you insist on writing with such a 'plebian' style with all the 'somat's, n'alls and 'em . It is erally annoying and adds very little to your blog apart from make me think - "this guy Robbo Robson writes for the BBC yet seems to think he is communicating via blog down at his local." You really don't need to do it - it doesn't make your blog seem like it is the authentic northern man of the people talking about the sport of the people to the people.

UK Athletics should try and stay as close as possible to the policy employed by the cyclists. We've got a proven results-driven exec in Van C and coupled with such proven policy UK athletics can hope to do very well in both the World Championships and London.
Defending The Delapidator 3:27pm on 03 Nov 2008 This is such a poorly-written blog. Narrow, unoriginal and, most importantly, dull this blog confronts a subject that has been talked about over and over these past few weeks and offers nothing new to the debate. If it is a debate at all.

Robbo's attempt to make it amusing with the aside about polyester shirts is as unfunny as it is unnecessary, succeeding only in drawing attention to the fact that 'Robbo' is only too aware of the saturated nature of his topic and blissfully unaware of the discerning and critical eye of his readership.

On a final point how does the sentence, "although why anyone would want to get anywhere near a sweaty polyester-shirted footballer's pits is highly doubtful". 'Why anyone would...is highly doubtful' doesn't make sense;wrapping up a bad article with bad grammar is highly doubtful...whoops...completely adequate and suits the quality of the article.
