A game of two cliches 1:27pm on 07 Feb 2009 I feel sorry for Steve Wilson. The comments explaining the real meaning of 'giving quarter' say enough. Steve Coppell was so often ridiculed for being a 'graduate' footballer. All this seems to show the lack of education and wisdom throughout football. There is no real reason for it and football would benefit from having it...Reading seem to be doing well with it right now!

I always wonder when I see a runner win while wearing a necklace of some kind as it seems to flap around like crazy when he is running. I can understand it if there is a cross on it, but you were wearing a big necklace without one when you set your 200m world record. Do you think you might have gone even faster without a necklace at all?
Toothy grin? 8:10pm on 11 Aug 2008 You can get proper African Toothsticks at many of the local markets, in London at least. Brixton definitely has them. Buy them singly or by the bundle - rubber band wrap, not plastic.
