Lord, Hear our prayer? 12:15pm on 14 Sep 2009 Proceedings in the Welsh Assembly should obviously be available in Welsh. Why is the Commission being so shortsighted? Could they not predict the reaction? For a saving of £250,000 is it really worth it? I think the whole Assembly would be better employed ensuring that our grant from London isn't cut as drastically as is being floated around.

"Where YOU are" 8:57pm on 06 Sep 2009 Could we have a multiscreen view like we do when a number of sporting events are being broadcast on the bbc? Or a programme on a similar format to final score? Where you would have a seperate programme for each of the home nations watching the election across the UK and commenting on the differences across the UK. So in Wales you would have a programme with a Welsh spin on the General Election whilst commentating on the whole of the UK.

Cats and empty bags 4:53pm on 01 May 2009 £1220bn spent on the banking rescue, but not enough money for Wales. On top of the money spent on the Olympics it shows pretty clearly where the attentions of politicians are (London) and the places which suffer due to these attentions (Wales, Scotland).

#12 says that we will now have a debt burden of £60bn if we were indpendent. But how much of that £60bn has been spent on, or in Wales? A law making Assembly with tax raising powers would make the situation in Wales slightly less unbearable.

#11 You forgot the banking rescue and the >>>£2bn internet surveillance databse! And this may be of an advantage to Plaid because it seems that any important announcements are now being made through them, they have turned from the junior partner into the partner which makes the honest and important announcements.

If you want to define 'welshness' might not the best way be to go back to the last census and anyone who, on the nationality option ticked Welsh, be allowed to vote? That should make for a pretty interesting debating point! And a pretty clear referendum result as well.
Fatal intervention 8:54pm on 15 Mar 2009 We need a referendum. The housing bill itself isn't important. What it symbolises is. There is a power struggle between the insufficient Assembly and the greedy Westminster, which means that the current situation isn't working. If Wales had full law making powers (like Scotland) there wouldn't be this fuss and the bill would be passed, or otherwise, (most likely) without comment. Granted, if there was no devolution then the problems caused by the housing bill wouldn't exist either, but the problem the bill is supposed to solve wouldn't be solved. Obviously we need further devolution.
Me and my shadow 9:13pm on 23 Feb 2009 Just realised. The only reason Cameron wants her is to gather tips for beating Labour from someone who is familiar with Salmond.
Me and my shadow 9:11pm on 23 Feb 2009 Wales means a trip to Barry for Cameron every once in a while. Oh and Alex Salmond visited Cardiff, so Cameron might have looked into that. Otherwise he can ignore us, especially when we beat the english in cardiff! Whatever Bourne is, like all Welsh politicians, with a few exceptions like Peter Hain, they are all irrelevant and won't bother Cameron.
