Hiddink's sweet smell of success 12:14pm on 09 Apr 2009 As a Man Utd fan ,I was and am still gutted by the manner of Chelski's Victory over the Liverless pool players. Was this the same team that beat Real and Utd silly a few weeks back: Gerrard did not show up, Torress went from being supernova to nova and finally nowhere, he burnt himself out thoroughly.Lucas was a joke with his 80% completed passes. Never in the history of football has so many accurate passes being so precise in uselessness.

Although Stamford bridge is under construction,'pool faces a climb up the everest without a Sherpa.

Bunkum! Can you not see farther than your nose. This United team is by far the best in years in terms of efficiency and winning mentality. U get me spasmodic and its a good thang cos I'm always uptight in the office being a Manager and the muppets I work with can only yield their best when u walk like a 6 inch acupuncture pin is puncturingly fixed to yr posterior. I may need some managerial training from the Oudinni himself.

Drogba is one of the many spoilt footballers but he appears to be the worst cos he's close to 40 and still a boy.

Spurs retained enough quality after the sale of Berb and Kean plus some spare brought in this season are not too low on quality. How on earth can they be stuck at the top of the posterior? The answer, Robbo, breezes past me faster than Walcott outstripped Lescott.
Capello unlocks Rooney gifts 09:31am on 16 Oct 2008 It is a known fact that Rooney is one of the most naturally talented English player, ask Arsene Wenger. However, strong Character or not, the lad has buckled under the weight of expectation. Pity the nation that puts its hope on the thick neck of an 18 year old. The case of Owen is instructive too, I remember him wearinga jersey number that was more than his age (No.20). Today Owen is a retired veteran at 28. We should temper our expectations with a dose of realism. With the necessary support, guidance and time the young lads like Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott and Agbonlahor will grow to be superb for England like Rooney is turning out to be.

Lamps is a fantastic player!Gerrard is a midfielder's midfielder. I'll rather have Steve G in my team for the extra he brings to a game. He needs to justify his presence with consistency and game winning performances like last night's. Last word, the onus is on thecoach to find a way of utilising the abundance of midfielders including Hargreaves, Barry, Carrick and Jermain Jenas.
