Radio 3's Eclectic Late Junction is Ten 11:08pm on 06 Oct 2009 So many million congratulations! It's hard to believe it's been ten years but it's always been fascinating listening. Here's to many more years of surprising eclecticism..
Anonymous on the internet 3:00pm on 25 Aug 2009 I'm solidly behind the view that (in democratic states, at least) it's important to stand up and be ready to be identified be a real person behind any public comment (and even more so in private correspondence). Yes, it's traditional on the net to have a "handle"/"nickname"/etc but to be taken seriously I feel it's best to (a) use the one identity consistently and (b) for the connection between that identity and your real self to be readily made.
The artist formerly known as Cat Stevens 5:18pm on 08 May 2009 If you listen to the albums (rather than just the hit singles) that Yusuf recorded at Cat Stevens you will hear that he was, from 1970 onwards, a thoughtful and highly spiritual musician. It's good to have him back on the recording scene. "An Other Cup" is rather a mixed bag but there is much excellent music therein. Long may he continue to perform and record the music that he's moved to create.

As "White hats" we have to excercise moral judgement and resist the lure of doing something just because we can.

Keeping a weather eye on the crime stats 07:18am on 23 Jan 2009 Your theory seems to have a lot more going for it than the spin the government tried to put on the figures. But then your suggestion is rooted in the logic of the real world. Politicians seem to live in a world where a whole other kind of logic, only meaningful to other political animals, holds sway. Thank goodness for journalists who try to poke holes in the Emporers' clothes!
