The long road back for Barnsley's Iain Hume 1:53pm on 06 Nov 2009 Two things have annoyed me about these responses.

1. Anyone who watches that incident again on YouTube would have to be insane to say it wasn't premeditated. Yes, Morgan is watching the ball; but his feet are planted on the pitch, he does not jump...and that is when a player uses his elbows to gain height. Hume is on his way to the ground before Morgan even heads the ball. I believe the only reason Morgan went to the dressing room was out of the realisation he'd done something disgusting without thinking of the consequences, and was worried more for himself and his career.

2. To suggest Fletch is stirrring things up is a disgrace. I know the guy personally, and you couldn't meet a more mild-mannered chap without an ounce of malice. As he defends himself, the article is simply about Hume's recovery and continuation of a career that was nearly in tatters due to the action of a thug.

I do agree on Fletch getting picked up for the sloppy grammar, though. I suggest either his wages are docked, or it's his round next time I see him.
Burnley one step from the Promised Land 11:28am on 17 May 2009 So North End blew it again eh, Fletch? Same old, same old. A perverse part of me actually wants Burnley to win the final. Another Lancashire club in the top flight would be nice. The hotbed of English football, as a Dingle said above. But are we ever going to get up there ourselves? At least I don't have to rush home from Brazil in September, eh?
England doesn't expect 5:39pm on 09 Sep 2008 I could not agree more with this article. The one flickering flame of talent we have in the current team is Joe Cole. Rooney, Lampard et al are an overpaid waste-of-space.

Give the young lads a chance, clear this team out. Gerrard is not fit to wear the shirt...only does it for Liverpool.

Result of the weekend in the Football League? 12:58pm on 11 Aug 2008 Come on, Fletch. You know as well as I do that North End beating Ipswich away was the result of the day. That, coupled with the Donkey Lashers from Blackpool losing to a last-minute goal, made your weekend. Always nice to see Burnley get a thumping, too. This could be our season...Irvine's going to take us places...

Last stop before the Euros 1:42pm on 28 May 2008 Eyup, mate...not seen you for a while? You want to have a word with the character who's comp-ed you into that Photoshop mess...I'll give him some design lessons.

Have to catch up with you after the Euros. I won't be (unlike yourself) feigning interest. Having a Dutch housemate, and appreciating (almost) everything Amsterdam, I may watch a couple of their games.

The real interest, as we both know, is in who's coming to North End? Nicholson looks a good 'un...makes me laugh that the Lashers' reject, Keigan Parker, reckons we wanted him but he opted for the Terriers. Don't make me laugh. Can't wait for Larry Grayson to take the Leicester job, Blackpool will be staring oblivion in the face next season.

Enjoy your jolly in the sun, mate. And to think you're getting paid for it, too? Scandalous...
