England set for tough 2018 battle 8:17pm on 28 Jan 2009 Just as Spain and Portugal may get some South American votes does that mean we'll get some of our old colonial votes too?

If Australia, NZ, USA, Canada et al are all out of the running would they vote for us?

It wasn't the end of the world at all, i would like to re-assure you that the recovery rate is very high and i'd like to urge all readers to examine themselves once a month, it's well worth it. Reffing hell! 10:41pm on 30 Sep 2008 I get really tired of cliched pundits and supporters moaning about refs making mistakes. 28. Voice Of Reason made such a good point about the players spending 90 minutes conning the ref then when one succeeds we hammer the ref and the players walk away scot free. It really gets my goat that managers stand on tv berating the refs performance. JUST FOR ONCE CAN A REF STAND UP AND POINT OUT THE MANAGERS/PLAYERS MISTAKES? "He should have played a 4-4-2, or they should have replaced "x" earlier!

I make mistakes at work.... you make mistakes at work and so does everyone else. Stop being a bunch of cry babies and accept it , it's what keeps us talking in the pub and what makes footall great, sometimes it goes your way and sometimes it doesn't.

Britain's cycling success - is it cricket? 00:43am on 19 Aug 2008 I am incredibly proud of all our medal winners particularly our cyclists. This isn't the end of it by any stretch, it'll be interestig to see where our swimmers will be in four years time as they are following a similar model to the cyclists. Who knows maybe 30 golds in 2012 if the funding remains.
Can Birmingham, Reading and Derby bounce back? 07:34am on 09 Aug 2008 As a derby fan last season was a nightmare. I'm looking forward to this season, the CCC is so much more exciting, we could go up or we could go down....who knows, that's what makes it so good.
The charm of the Championship 07:18am on 24 Jul 2008 I much prefer the CCC to the Prem, it reminds me of Div 1 when i was a boy. Good manager, shrewd purchases, bit of luck and who knows. I get angry when i'm told the Prem is so great, it's not! Some games are but most are one sided affairs that are plain dull.

Comment 2. To say that the foreign players are making our players better might be true but that is only the case if they are playing, the BBC report shows this week that 37% of players in the EPL are English and i can only see that figure getting lower as the rich teams buy for success.
