Brazil's new breed of guard dog 2:30pm on 09 Nov 2009 The centre of midfield is quite often becoming a dour place in the squads these days. Not losing has become more important than winning so teams increasingly put out centre midfield partnerships that defensive in nature: for Man Utd we see Fletcher/Carrick and Chelsea we see Mikel/Essien. Some how the 'deep lying playmaker' has turned into defensive midfielder.

Bopara in need of an Ashes score 4:26pm on 20 Jul 2009 Bopara just needs time to shine. Everyone can see that he knows how to hit a ball, now he's learning that being No3 takes patience and an ability to read the game. He's scored 3 centuries at No3 against the Windies this year. At the end of the day I dont see anyone better waiting to come in.

He's got the potential to be great in the position and it's going to take time and shoving him in the Ashes is a bit of a baptism of fire but by the end of it I see him making 50+ reguarly
Will Tevez row spoil Man Utd party? 04:44am on 15 May 2009 I love Tevez, he's one of my favourite players but is he worth £32 million? Maybe... In the current climate? No. He works hard and scores the odd important goal... Sounds like Vidic, Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Park and O'Shea.

Tbh, Man Utd have a plethora of strikers: Rooney, Ronaldo, Berbatov, Macheda and Welbeck are all in the current team and also have Campbell and Manucho coming back at the end of the season; why do we need to pay over £30 million for another one?

Personally i'd rather see this fought out in the courts because it *has* to be against European Employment law
