Magnetic attraction of climate 'scepticism' 9:26pm on 30 Oct 2009 Like other "sceptical" meetings I've attended, it featured a heady melange of science (some of which would be swiftly dismissed in some quarters as pseudo-science) and politics.

If you change the "Sceptical" to " MM Activist" meetings, then I think the rest of your comment is valid.

After all from the weather I have experienced in my 36 yrs, it is clear that Man Man Global Warming is just a pseudo-science.
Census question questions 8:56pm on 27 Oct 2009 Poster 3, rather then spout your normal anti-Conservative rubbish, why dont you actally debate the actual issues raised by Mr Hurd?.

It may be beyond you but even the Guardian believes that the questions in this proposed census have gone too far.

Explain why you think that some of these questions are relevant?, and then explain why you are in the minority who support this scope creep.
Nick Griffin on Question Time 3:56pm on 24 Oct 2009 I stayed up to watch QT in the hope that I could laugh at Mr Griffin, instead I was treated to some weird behaviour from Jack Straw and a BBC presenter who lost control of his programme.

As for the audience they were a disgrace, I have seen better behaved football fans baiting the referee.

The BBC as seems there want handled Mr Griffins appearance on QT very poorly, the show got so bad that I turned over to watch Newsnight to find out what was really happening in the UK (i.e Postal Strike and the awful economic figures), I imagine that along with Mr Hain I was not the only person who gave up on this specific episode of QT.

I am sorry nate_oz but your claim is simply untrue, Britain does not even figure in the top 5 EU countries. Every economic standards shows how false your claim is.

The only thing Gordon Brown has done right is to bring Mandelson back into the government to stop a total collapse of the country (and I cannot stand Mandelson).

You asked the question "Does postal communcation in 2009 feel like mining in 1984? Will this strike signal the beginning of the end of a service many feel is becoming less and less relevent?", I would have to answer back with an empthatic NO.

The miners strike was set against the backdrop of rising affluence across the UK with new energy sources and working practices coming to the fore, the postal strike is set against a backdrop of economic depression with millions of people facing long term unemployment. The miners had my sympathy (apart from the militant idiots led by Scargill), the postal workers have my indifference.

As for asking Ed Miliband onto NN is also a massive own goal, our so called Energy Secretary should have been sacked ages ago.

Mankind must be impacting the environment, but then so do Volcanic eruptions and of course the worst offender the Sun (not the newspaper).

I once met Ludovic Kennedy, as a writer I greatly admired him.

If the anger shown by our MPs was not so morally wrong the above comment would be laughable.

As for their comments about 'retrospective limits' what about all the retrospective legislation that Labour and the previous regimes have inflicted on us the taxpayers?.

Mr Brown and Mr Cameron should both show some moral/civic courage and resign their respective leaderships, only then will this 'rotten Parliament' be consigned to the dustbin of history.

Why does the BBC keep giving the Guardian and its journalist free advertising on its website?. I am fed up with the constant use of Guardian and The Independent journalists to 'debate' news stories on the BBC. This must be a clear breach of the BBCs editorial guidelines, does the BBC not realise that 95% of the population who purchase newspapers do not buy the Guardian or Independent?.
