Brilliant Barcelona outclass Man Utd 09:29am on 28 May 2009 I think Fergie's big mistake was leaving Rooney at wide for so long: at a time when no one could inspire them, surely it would have been better to have your most inspirational player coming through the centre? I also thought Berbatov should have been on from the start. While he wasn't effective when he came on, he's not an impact player. On a night when United lacked any players who could hold onto the ball, Berbatov should have been starting.
Bad taste Haye creates a buzz 7:59pm on 20 Apr 2009 David Haye is a genius; love him or hate him, the man has sparked some genuine interest into a heavyweight fight for the first time since Lewis-Klitschko (and I'm still not sure if that could be categorised as interest). The heavyweight division needs Haye to win this fight so he can end the Klitschko/Eastern European monopoly. Will he do it? I don't know, however he needs Wlad to come out swinging, and if angering him is the way to do it, then bloody well do it!

Haye much too hasty? 9:39pm on 15 Dec 2008 Fair play to David Haye, sure he's brash and bold, but in this politically correct world is that not refreshing to see someone come out and say how he feels? I don't think he'll beat Vitali, but I'll be cheering him on the whole way through..!
Capello may regret Owen exclusion 11:03am on 01 Sep 2008 What is baffling about the decision not to pick Owen? He's played one game this season, and hasn't played or scored consistently for about 3 years now. Capello knows not to pick players purely on reputation, although I still don't quite see what Beckham adds to the team. Bullard is an excellent addition to the squad, and I truly believe he has both the talent and necessary physicality to be a big success in international football.
England exploit SA failings 12:15pm on 30 Aug 2008 I'm sorry, but Ian Bell scoring a 75 at a strike rate of 100 deserves praise! Please can people stop criticising him so ridiculously, his job is to get the side motoring in the powerplays, and he did that in quite glorious style.
Samit Patel is an excellent cricketer - his batting is actually his strong point, and he averages 45 + in first class cricket. His bowling looks very steady, with some clever variation.
Kevin Pietersen also looks an inspiring figure. The way he talks about the side is so positive, and he is showing more and more maturity now that he has the captaincy.
Faltering French look their age 6:38pm on 17 Jun 2008 France deserve to be in this position for not picking Sagna and Clichy!
Stanford brings riches and headaches 8:25pm on 11 Jun 2008 To be honest, I think Stanford's ideas are better than this Champions League.
The Champions League will simply turn into counties wrestling IPL teams to secure their own players, and then arguing with this idiots who say the ICL players can't play. This Champions League is a complete joke, and i hope the idea is duly flushed down the toilet.
Alec Stewart's England player ratings 1:28pm on 08 Jun 2008 How did Bell or Collingwood even get 2s! Both of them cannot be in the team come SA - Prior and Bopara must be breathing down their necks. I think KP deserves a 9 at least - he rescued us from the brink. I'd also have given Broad a 9, and Anderson is prettttty unlucky to miss out on a 10.
