So all supportive parents are wealthy and well-connected, Mark? That's the catchall that betrays the BBC New Labour agenda, doesn't it. Attack parents who want the best for their kids, blame them for the failure of the New Labour 12-year programme and promise of 'Education, Education... etc'. The billions of extra £ tax-paid funding wasted in dumbing down education and destroying standards, you have betrayed a generation on the altar of half-baked idealogy and serial incompetence.

The BBC's uncritical acceptance of the Labour analysis really does sicken - and we are compelled to pay for this in the licence fee.
Becoming the story 2:33pm on 09 Jul 2009 The triumvirate of the BBC, Labour and the Guardian strike again: any piece of trivial news that can be spun above the issues that really affect the licence-payer: the appalling debt inflicted by the Labour recession, mass redundacies, people losing their homes, a lost generation leaving school and university to little or no prospect of work. Does the BBC never feel shame, never waiver from its following of the Labour line? The licence payer deserves better than this. With the money I and others pay we expect responsible reporting and impartiality.

It is is disgusting and wrong that he is doing this - and spuriously in the name of 'investment' - the billions spent in so many pointless middle manager public sector jobs at £50k+, gold-plated public sector pensions, disastrous IT projects like the £10 billion NHS IT project. Why are our children made to pay? It is disgraceful that the BBC bias let this go unquestioned. You have betrayed the licence-payer.
Euro-Gordon steps into line 10:16am on 25 Mar 2009 Mark Mardell's support for Gordon Brown knows no bounds - his failure to report on Daniel Hannan's outstanding speech at all really highlights again the bias that permeates BBC discredited 'news' coverage. Daniel Hannan's speech was excellent and said so much that the British people believe. Listen to it.

No safe haven for the PM 00:32am on 26 Jul 2008 "This should give Gordon Brown time at his party conference... to warn, as he did today, of the risks to them of a Tory government."
to report "the risks" as fact is BBC pro-Labour bias. It is totally unacceptable: the continued attempts by Maitlis, Robinson and others to actively support Brown is appalling: I complain and request the BBC news editors to address this immediately and make a public statement.
A divisive Davis? 11:42am on 13 Jun 2008 Nick Robinson's comments are so totally one-sided: quite clearly anti-Tory and pro-Labour. This is not balanced reporting - it is also totally counter to public opinion: does he not understand that people are tired of having their liberty eroded by this cosy Labour-BBC alliance, with its strangehold on democracy?
