End of Thatcher's tax incentives 6:10pm on 24 Nov 2008 I agree with Peston - Scandinavia here we come...

... as long as we get the great healthcare, great education, great sense of social responsibility etc. etc. and not just fatter and fatter government.

At least there is a real choice in May 2009 - or whenever Brown goes for it - high spend high tax or back to the basics of spend what you can afford. Mr. Cameron, here we come!
Back to the future again 11:41am on 03 Oct 2008 Handy Mandy comes to the aid of the grumpy Brown bear...

Fat Cat Eurocrat Mandy must be on a good deal - perhaps he gets Prezza's old flat as part of the package to prize him out of Europe.

Grumpy Brown bear must be losing his marbles in the latter days of his control of the cave - but maybe this new cub will make Captain Cameron smile; a ministerial resignation in the pipeline - just depends what Mandy does wrong next.

Brown gets points for creativity and headlines, but Cameron will seize the day.
Back to the future 4:41pm on 01 Oct 2008 Great speech by Cameron.

The fatally-wounded Brown bear no doubt grumbled and growled in his cave as his battle scars were agitated by prods and pokes from Captain Cameron's sharp stick.

But the real frustration for the bear no doubt was the rich harvest of honey-sweet policies which were so well trailed and which the bear knew could never be his.

The Brown bear stays wounded and not yet dead; time will take care of that.

Meanwhile Cameron prepares for office.
Prime ministerial performance? 2:36pm on 30 Sep 2008 Slippery spin or solid substance?; I think the latter.

Three simple proposals, of which at least two can be achieved in less than a week.

Maybe this will prompt Gordon to come out and bat for Britain rather than manoeuvre for his own place in the next test series.

I do hope so, because 'things can only get worse' unlike the famous 1997 promise.
