This has to be one of the most ignorant and asinine comments I've read in months. Jenson Button has toiled for years in poor-performing cars, and when he finally gets one that suits him suddenly he's a fluke champion. Tom Daley is 'too young' - you appear to have missed the point. He was nominated BECAUSE he is so young, for a 15 year old to win a world title is remarkable. Ryan Giggs '???????', as an Arsenal fan who hates United even I find that pretty insulting, as Giggs has been one of the best players in Britain for nearly two decades. And Andy Murray hasn't done anything? Six titles, world #2, Wimbledon semi-finals and a winner at Queens Club suggests otherwise.

You are clearly bitter at whoever your favourite is not being nominated, but for you to channel that into a tirade against the totally deserving sportsmen that HAVE been nominated shows you up as nothing more than a fanboy and a wind-up merchant.

O2 Arena plays perfect host to season finale 8:27pm on 29 Nov 2009 This site is notorious for its trolls but even I was stunned when one users said something along the lines of "this tournament has been a total failure and a waste of tax-payers money". Clearly, this was not a tennis fan speaking - anyone with any passion for the game couldn't help but be impressed with not only the organisation of the event, but the effort all eight players put into every one of their matches. There was not a slack performance all week, and the whole tournament was a joy to watch with the right champion.

Where have you been the last two months? We've been commenting on this ever since the Football League Show started. It looks ridiculous and is totally unnecessary, especially since Manish gives no information on how results affected the table - he just tells us what we can see on the screen. Not to mention, halving the amount of screen that the table can use in order to make room for him means the writing is smaller. A total fail that needs to be addressed ASAP.

Also, no more Jacqui Oatley please, she is so miserably. Love Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes, though.
Spurs show top four style 11:27am on 29 Nov 2009 Anyone claiming that Spurs 'settled for a draw' obviously didn't watch the match, as it was clear to even the most oblivious and/or blinkered of spectators that Spurs were pushing to the end, as were Villa in fairness, for all three points. In fact, the final ten minutes or so were probably the best of the match. Ultimately, neither side really deserved to lose so a point each was fair, but Spurs would have got two points if (theoretically) they awarded three points per draw and awarded the third point to whoever was more dominant. But they don't. Bye.
What's wrong with football? Blame women! 3:49pm on 28 Nov 2009 Tennis, athletics, and swimming seem to be the only sports in which the female equivalent is taken as seriously as the mens' game. If they had always been equal, I wouldn't have a problem. However, the slightly chauvinistic and certainly anti-political correctness side of me would now hate to see womens' sports FORCED on the public consciousness.

BBC F1 film wins prestigious award 9:48pm on 25 Nov 2009 I didn't see it first time around, but I saw it at the start of the season review show. I just wanted the whole hour to be that intro. It was awesome.

Incidentally, is the voiceover the same bloke who did some of the Guinness ads a few years ago (I'm thinking most specifically the 'tick follows tock' surfing horses one)?
Benitez under spotlight after Champions League exit 2:01pm on 25 Nov 2009 Without their injuries and Macheda's late winner against Villa for United, Liverpool would have won the league last year. Remind me, who was their manager then?

Benitez makes his mistakes (and plenty of them), but to say he's the reason Liverpool haven't won the title yet and won't win it until he leaves is mindblowing stupidity. He took them to the closest they have been since 1990 last year. He should be lauded for that, albeit also criticised for his misuse of Robbie Keane especially when Torres was injured.
