Ferguson revels in classic win 2:40pm on 21 Sep 2009 Not bad Phil. But I think you've been a tad harsh on Foster there. His performances this season have been assured and at times sensational. Including game winning saves from Van Persie and others.

He made a calamitous error for City's first. And he was rightly punished with conceding then. And this seems to be an area that needs some work. But is probably hampered by the lack of games/understanding with his defence. Hopefully he can put this right as he's technically a wonderful keeper.

But how then do you apportion blame to him for Bellamys second? Rio was obviously the main culprit here. But as he's established he gets to shrug it off as an uncharacteristic mistake? I think not. And I'm sure Fergy and his team mates will be having words.

Rio had lost that footrace quite spectacularly, and Foster had to try and push him wide to lessen the angle. Quality 1-on-1 finish from Bellamy as he's getting shoved off the field of play should be commended. Not blamed on Foster who almost stopped the goal caused by Rio's blunder, with his outstretched finger tips.

For all the bitters moaning, please take heed of McNulty's advice. Yes there may have been an extra second added to allow the goal to go in, (judging by MOTD's figures), but as Phil says, you had just as much time as us to score 4 goals. And we didn't get 2 free goals handed to us!!!
Ferguson talk must please Man City 3:53pm on 18 Sep 2009 96. - I think the point being made was that United were not an amazingly rich club when Ferguson took over. He had to build a great club out of a good club. Hughes has to build a great club out of a good club too. But he has a lot of help from those deep Sheikh pockets! Our £20-30 million buys are the reult of being a financially sound organization, with success on the pitch and building a large fanbase over time so that we could eventually buy those players these days. Your 20-30 million pound buys have come from the sale of oil lining your owners pockets. Surely you can see the difference? Its a lot easier for Hughes to do it at City as he has unlimited funds immediately!

Whoever said that Hughes doesn't need to lower himself to Fergusons level is an idiot. The man is the master manager and you all wish he could have been your manager!

Nice bits at the end, especially the dundee socks incident, but did you really need to put the boot in on Sir Alex, it was you journo's who'd built us up to be unstoppable. Even my usually Fergy hating friends all say he accepted defeat gracefully.

Don't tell me they've got another Liverpool fan or ex player working for the beeb???
Fergie fouls up 4:30pm on 28 May 2009 So many ABU's on here today its hilarious. Nice to see you didn't fully embrace your inner ABU Robbo. Nice blog, pretty much agree with all of it. Especially Iniesta being the best out of the lot. Like a young Ginger Ninja that kid. Legend.

What really got me last night was the reaction of the United players both to the goal (shellshock) and to the final result (resignation). But fair play to Barca, they were as good as we were poor last night. And fully deserve the title.

To all the WUMSs and ABUs. We lost a game, get over it. We have. I'm sure Fergy and the boys will. And you can bet your life we'll be challenging for the big ones again next year. See you next season.

I would love it if we were to get the World Cup in 2018. I can see no reason why this country could not stage the greatest of tournaments. We love our football, and we have somke of the worlds best (and safest) stadia!

Lets just hope Brown and his cronies don't mess this up.

I was up the opposite end of the pitch and it was deffo a pen! ;o)

In all seriousness, who cares?! We shoulda had one last week in the FA Cup, and where was the uproar from good ol'Droopy...I mean 'Arry then? Still, it either was or wasn't given and thats that, we have to take these things and move on.

On the Giggs note I'd like to remind you that it is not player of the season! It is player of the year!
Hmm, lets see what Giggs had done in that time....
Vice captained his team to a glorious double and his 10th title with some stunning performances in the league and various cups.
Scored the goal that won the league!
Scored the winning penalty in Moscow!
Was crowned World Champion.
Scored in every Premier league since inception.
Converted himself from world class (but aged) winger into world class CM.
Was a credit to himself and football in general in stark contrast to the Baby Bentley Brigade.

He doesn't deserve it does he?! Idiots!!!
Pitch imperfect 3:58pm on 20 Apr 2009 Robbo, very funny again as always, but when did Fergy or the Professor actually blame the pitch you numpty?

If you actually saw his interview he was actually quite philosophical about the whole thing, something McNulty has even stated in his blog.

Our kids were great against a well oiled Everton side and just shaded it over the game for me, shame it had to go to peno's!

But good luck to Everton, they held their nerves on the peno's and I will be cheering them on in the final.
