Annie, get your gun 04:10am on 16 Sep 2008 I live in California where guns are moderately regulated. I grew up in the deep South where guns are common. My brother in law always carries a 9mm pistol, always. I choose not to own guns as an adult. I do not target practice or use guns at all. However, the 2nd amendment isn't going to disappear. People can complain, argue, bicker all day long but it won't help. Gun rights have been around in the US for over 200 years and is supported by the vast majority of US citizens. It's not going to disappear now or anytime in the near future. This is a pointless debate in my opinion.
Overemphasis on Zimbabwe? 9:35pm on 25 Apr 2008 Zimbabwe coverage has been about right. It is a sad story that many people are following. The first 10 years or so, people had hope that Zimbabwe would continue to be a successful nation. Then, all of a sudden, President Mugabe seemed to have lost all reason and the nation has fallen to a low rarely seen. 1/3 of the population has left. Predicting what will come next isn't easy. All the makings of a good news story that many people want to read about.
