No instant impact from Hauritz 09:24am on 26 Jun 2009 Of course, there is a real danger that if Hauritz doesn't improve his performances in the coming warm up matches he may not start in Cardiff. That would be bad news. Surely the chaps at Sussex could do England a few favours and let him get a few 'wickets'.

Shah completely outscored him in the warm up games. We all know what Bell can do (not a lot) and he can find form anywhere. If he doesn't perform this series it means we have less time to blood a replacement before the ashes.

Given our weak opposition, surely if we may make a change later we should trial it now - rather than against the Aussies?!

Sensible Strauss just the tonic 9:12pm on 08 Jan 2009 Yes, the thing that makes this distressingly frustrating is that KP was actually spot on. Moores is not good enough. He just went about it the wrong way.

It took the guy with biggest determination to improve and improve others around him to point this out, unfortunately the rest of the team aren't this ambitious or ruthless.

If they were, we would be a better team all round.
Sensible Strauss just the tonic 8:55pm on 08 Jan 2009 I'm pro KP, for a few reasons.

Firstly, I believe he has the biggest set in the dressing room and might have finally encouraged players like Bell/Panesar/Cook to improve and develop a 'mean' streak. I can hardly see Strauss fostering such arrogance.

Secondly, the ECB were well aware about this rift prior to KP's employment as captain. In KP's view, as ruthlessly determined as he is to improve the team his only mistakes were (albeit a rather gross one) to misjudge dressing room support and to sit on safari. Now England have lost the biggest winner in their team to instill a real cutting edge. The rest could learn from his approach to his cricket.

Moores had to go once this came to fruition, I just wish KP had managed it a bit better as I really think he has what it takes to become a great captain. I can't blame him for misjudging the dressing room, after all he probably believed the rest of the team were as intent on improvement as he was. Clearly not, Bell/Harmison probably enjoyed the cosy relationship with Moores and not being pressured to perform.

Relishing the underdog mantle 09:06am on 21 Oct 2008 It's funny how preconceptions have skewered peoples view. Most independant media reports the same thing: McCain oven fries is running a negative campaign and Obama is running an expensive one trying to reach many new voters.

I can't believe many people who have sided with a candidate have actually done it because of policy, so much is trust and background. Oven fries is weighed down by Bush and his tactics, Obama by his race.

I know which I'd choose.

How about reporting some equally rubbish ones for me on this global website with that disclaimer, here are a few studies I have just conducted:

1. 99% of 4 year olds are under 5!

Possible headline: Baby Age Scandal!

2. If you're a pensioner, chances are you experience discomfort sometime throughout the day.

Possible headline: OAP's lead painful existence!

3. 100% of journalists sensationalise their work to appeal to readers.

Possible headline: Journalists don't report facts

Of course, that would probably be sensationalised too, by a reporter pretending it doesn't apply to him/her/it.

Facebookers are narcissists 11:02am on 25 Sep 2008 What a pointless article. 130 is FAR to small a sample size to even warrant a mention - I could produce a more informative study.

Facebook was good while it was exclusive to Universities, an easy way to arrange events and swap pictures. Since the invasion of Joe Public it's now full of idiots broadcastiong their lives - and it's funny how the least interesting people spend the most time talking about themselves isn't it?!

The type of people who are narcisstic of facebook are likely to be the same in real life, facebook just broadcasts this trait more readily.
