Man City challenge is no fake 09:35am on 06 Oct 2009 Judging by last half hour I saw on telly, much work needs to be done by both teams to break in the top 4.

There were many long balls going astray, poor passing judgement, & most of the play was in midfield with ball rarely traveling to penalty area.
Some good clean tackles though.

One more conspiracy theory.. It is so obvious that I am surprised that no one has picked it up yet.

This incompetent referee has nothing to do with Platinni and his anti-English agenda. It has Fergies hand in it.

After backing Blatters favourite child (Club World Cup) with all he can do, like taking full squad to competition (& actually winning it unlike other Euro Champions (Forget Milan)), United & Fergie are in Blatters good books.

As Blatter wants participation from United for next CWC to enhance its publicity, Blatter actually asked Fergie (after United beat arsenal) which team he would like in the final. SAF responded that United should get a bye.

As this was not possible, SAF said that he wants Barca in final rather than Chelsea. But Barca shold also be weakened team.

And it was arranged, It was made sure that Chelsea will loose & also at least one Barca player was sent off! Ref, fearful of the hairdryer treatment, readily agreed.

Thus, Fergie has enhanced his sphere of influence beyond FA & premier league.

How does that sound?

As tiers go by 1:57pm on 06 May 2009 I can't resist myself to comment on this one I can see there's something going on between Gaz_united & Robbo ever since Gaz made a hilarious comment about backpass rule.

Liverpool v Arsenal was a hundred times more entertaining than last nights match, add to that Arsenal didnt have van persie or Arshavin and still you only manage to get 1 goal!
