Whiff-whaff's road home starts in Sheffield 2:15pm on 28 Oct 2009 Fascinating blog Matt. I've started playing table tennis again after a year out. It brings something different to most sports, its all about control and reflexes instead of outright strength and fitness. Its also great fun, and almost everyone who plays it is friendly. You couldn't say that about football! Can't recommend it enough!

But please, never call it Ping Pong.

It might not be the right thing to say, but fudge it. SCANDALS IN F1 MAKE FOR GREAT ENTERTAINMENT, and result in more coverage for F1. No F1 commentator/critic would dare say this.
Briatore bows out in unsavoury style 6:54pm on 16 Sep 2009 Piquet should rightly be damned for his actions. He has been naive and idiotic. In 2008 he was a young, impressionable driver, desperate to keep his place in the Renault team - desperate enough to follow orders to crash his car.

It is brave of him to ultimately blow the whistle on this, but he knew that his F1 career was effectively over anyway. Would he have done so if he still thought he had a chance of a drive in F1? Unlikely.

Briatore is a character no doubt, but you have to consider whether he has done more damage than good.
Del Potro sets seal on memorable US Open 12:32pm on 15 Sep 2009 I didnt see the whole match but from what I saw DP has a phenomenal power game, and hes still only 20. Congratulations to him.

This could finally be the kick up the backside Murray needs to realise he needs to be more agressive in matches. If he goes passive and starts losing the match, he cant seem to find a way back.

He is still capable of comfortably beating any player on his day, and for that reason I still think a grand slam is on the cards sooner rather than later.
Arsenal's revival faces Man Utd test 10:46am on 28 Aug 2009 Watching Arsenal slowly waltz their way round Celtic, I wasn't entirely convinced they wouldv'e looked so good against a more pacey, physical side. They were rarely hassled by alot of the Celtic players in truth. They will have to up their game if they want to take a victory.

I predict a draw, a result which neither team would be too unhappy with. Defeat for either team would be damaging - Man U would be left wondering if they still had what it takes to win the league, Arsenal would lose confidence in their ability to beat high quality opposition.
Relishing Schumacher's return 11:26am on 30 Jul 2009 Could he really be as good as he was? Who knows. He was capable of raising average cars to great positions. The Ferrari qualifying belies its decent race pace - a podium at each of the last two races shows it.

It can only help Kimi - he will NOT want to be beaten, especially in qualifying.

I missed the Valencia GP last year, it doesn't sound like a great track, but now it should be a blast!
Hamilton revels in sweetest of victories 11:47am on 27 Jul 2009 Interesting talk about the points system. 10-8-6 does give too many points to 2nd and 3rd, but if we had 10-6-4 then this season would be completely over by now. Perhaps something inbertween is best, like 10-7-5-4-3-2-1 or 12-9-7-5-4-3-2-1. Or maybe go to Moto GPs system of 25 points for first and points all the way down the order.

I do hope Bernie was joking about the medals system - I think he was just annoyed that Hamilton won the world championship ahead of his precios Scuderia.
BBC Sport's fuel-adjusted Hungarian GP grid 12:00pm on 26 Jul 2009 Jesus! How light was Alonso? I guess he must be stopping around lap 10...this also shows that the Red Bulls, whatever the conditions, are by far the class of the field. For my money the Constructors is sown up, but the Drivers championship is getting more interesting.

A big battle coming up between the two Red Bulls, who will no doubt take a 1-2.
My Hungarian Grand Prix predictions 9:42pm on 24 Jul 2009 The red bulls have too much of a raw pace advantage now to be caught, despite warm temperatures. With Webber broken his duck, its hard to choose between them. I still think Vettel has the qualifying edge, but Friday's practises say it may be the other way round. I will go:
