The links in the list at the end aren't obvious until you mouseover them and the underline appears, unlike the ones in the paragraphs above and below which have the dotting underneath.

It would be very interesting to pursue this premise. Although I think it may be less an effect of the internet and more that the internet as a tool has amplified a trend to wards non-geographical social groups.

"Friends are the new family" is a very believable aphorism and I will admit that in any given year I make more trips away to visit friends than I do family. This is mostly more to do with people I met in real life, mostly at university, moving away; rather than me meeting new people for the first time via the internet.
Conflict over copyright 3:04pm on 26 Nov 2008 Tom McGuinness is in a lose lose situation, even if the prime minister listens to him and changes his mind about the EU proposal it is unlikely that he will see much in the way of money from this. Only the top artists will benefit from this, via the big record labels, it is even possible that he will see less money as collecting societies like the PRS fill the coffers of the dead for longer and the royalty pie from broadcasting and piped music is cut into thinner slices.
