Rafa revived 1:00pm on 28 Oct 2009 Rafa is hardly redeemed with the victory over Man Utd, all it does is paper over the cracks and highlight the very obvious fact that without Gerrard and Torres Liverpool are a very ordinary team, and Rafa cakes is a very ordinary manager.
England cannot replace Rooney 10:20pm on 13 Oct 2009 While it cannot be denied that Rooney has and will play a crucial role in the team for the forth coming world cup I don't see the advantage of articles such as this. I mean does the media really intend to heap the expectations of the entire nation onto the shoulders of one young man? isn't there perhaps any more pressure we could weigh him down with?

Seems to me he is going to be built up into the fall guy one again, I envisage a blood thirsty media rubbing their hands in anticipation at the potential of a mighty fall for the boy.

The bottom line is that its a team game and its up to the team to perform Rooney isn't going to win this competition by himself, if Rooney doesn't perform the team should be able to get by, if not they should hang their heads in shame.
Barking in the eye of an Olympic storm 12:56pm on 10 Oct 2009 Hmmm I have to be totally honest and say that this story is about as interesting as watching paint dry, no I tell a lie its slightly less interesting. Although anything that is one in the eye for the government cant be all that bad, so on that bias I am all in favour for anything that the government opposes and vice versa.

Oh dear another genius, look mate it has been explained many times over the four minutes on the board is the MINIMUM amount of time to be added on. Bellamy's goal adds one minute to that total, there was a substitution which adds a further thirty seconds taking the total up to about 5:30 added on, Owen scored at 5:28, and because of that goal another full minute is added on which takes it to around 6:30 there was a couple of stoppages during that time which is why you end up with a total around the seven minute mark.

And when they aren't doing that they just bang out all the usual cliches to the usual questions, I don't get what people see in post match interviews and analysis by pundits, surely we can think for ourselves and draw our own conclusions.

So ill just leave with these pearls of wisdom, it was a game of two halves, the better team one, but with regards to the season its still early doors, as long as they continue to give it 110%, at the end of the day, its all to play for.

Lol there is no knot tying involved MOTD2 explained the stoppages last night its all legit so you can live on in your conspiracy theory bubble as long as you like mate you are just deluding yourself, the Ref added a judicious amount of time on at the end of the game. And in case you didnt notice both teams had the benefit of that added time, but only one team made it count. Bag of sour grapes in the post for you mate.

If the goal celebration hadnt happened then it is likely there would have been no reaction from the crowd either. He deliberately ran the length of the pitch to taunt them, note the word reaction, it comes following an action, which then leads to a consequence.

"If the Arsenal fans can't take the stick they dish out then they should either not go to watch games or grow up and learn to treat people with respect."

What respect has Adebayor shown the Arsenal fans by his actions? How were his actions on any level more mature? In all respects Adebayor has been very irresponsible, as a public figure and sporting proffessinoal he should be above such petulance. He has essentially incited public violence resulting in one person being injured.

"IMO Adebayor was only returning the stick he received from the Arsenal fans and rightly so. He could have done far worse such as karate kick a fan or throw a coin into the crowd."

Adebayor madness mars Man City win 2:47pm on 14 Sep 2009 Adebayor has been very foolish, it was immature of him to react in such a way, knowing full well the consequences of such actions (thankfully they were rather limited) should have been enough to dissuade him from indulging in such petty behaviour. Regulatory bodies be they the law of the land or what ever take a very dim view of an "eye for an eye" approach which is essentially what Adebayor did, at the end of the day, yes the Arsenal fans have rode rough shod over him, but retaliating by taunting them is hardly the actions of a proffessional. The phrase "if you cant take the heat get out of the kitchen comes to mind", sporting celebrities know full well that if you stick your head above the parapet then you are going to get shot at, you either accept it and get on with it, or you simply realise its not for you and move on. Rising to the bait will almost certainly get him punished.
Defoe makes case for England start 3:41pm on 07 Sep 2009 This may go against the English footballers gospel, but for me id rather have a player like Cole up front with Defoe, yes that means leaving out Rooney, shock horror eh? And here is why Rooney has scored 24 in 54 which is an impressive record for sure, however if Capello will persist in partnering him with another striker/forward who doesnt weigh in and is there supposedly as a foil for Rooney then that record starts to look a little iffy especially against quality teams, as its essentially 24 in 54 for both Rooney and his partner (Heskey). Now the reason I would rather replace Rooney is that without a foil is he really going to be as effective? and if not then a goal every two games isnt enough for a striking partnership. If we dont have a player who can work effectively with Rooney then it is perversely Rooney who is the problem,

Defoe looks sharp and hungry at this moment and Cole looked very impressive the last game he played, the two of them up front turned England from a lack lustre team into a real threat.
Maradona learning the hard way 12:53pm on 07 Sep 2009 It just goes to show that great players very often dont make great managers. Being a great individual on the pitch is very different from being a great manager off it, Roy Keane is learning this the hard way also. It involves a totally different mindset its like asking someone who has never played chess before to play a game against a grand master, sure they might enjoy some luck and success in the beginning in what is commonly known as a honey moon period, but once the the novelty has worn off they get found out for the (without wanting to sound to harsh) fraud that they are, i dont mean that in a malicious way but that is essentially what they are, novices pretending to be masters.
