are you saying that United are a one man team? coz what you say is that by unsettling Vidic you beat United.

Ronaldo also almost signed for Arsenal, and he was offered to Liverpool before that too. SO SAF did not exactly pluck him at a tender age from a sunday footy team on one of his wine tasting trips to Portugal did he..
Back in the Real world 04:22am on 06 Jun 2009 'Villa reportedly offered Barry 75,000 a week to stay, whilst most (reliable) newspapers report his contract at City stands at 80,000. Though 5,000 is alot of money to the man on the street, when sums this big are involved, there doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference.

Is it possible Barrys decision came down to more than just money?'

I seem to recall a certain c-Ashley Cole spitting his dummy over 5 grand less than he wanted at Arsenal. So my guess is - yes, it is about the money.

Hiddink a hard act to follow 05:31am on 31 May 2009 A very good manager. However, he took a team full of world class and won an FA cup. So hasnt really achieved impossible has he now. A bigger test for Hiddink would be how he would reshape the team for next year, and how he would conduct his business in the transfer market. Who would he sell and who would he buy? That is always a tough one. We have always known that Hiddink can get the best out of what he has got (as he has proven on the international scene) but can he build a winning team himself? We dont know that.

Hiddink's sweet smell of success 6:16pm on 10 Apr 2009 Hardly a 'reborn Chelsea', but merely reorganised. Our loss was due to defensive shockers - two free headers from a two corners. Essien or not, Liverpool were winning the midfield battle in the first half, and the possesion percentage is there to confirm it. That said, following Torres' goal Liverpool never got out of first gear, and credit to Chelsea for not panicking. Chelsea deservedly won. It will be difficult overturning the deficit, but I'm looking forward to us trying.
