Much talk of Broad not being on line, etc. That's also a reflection of the captain, Strauss should be knocked down more points for failing to enforce bowling discipline.
Who's the greatest? 6:17pm on 09 Jul 2009 It is not about who is better, that is pointless, it is all about the competition between them that is interesting. One wins, the other wants to repeat in his sport.
The same as the Annika and Tiger competition (I know they were in the same sport, but in different levels), that was interesting, but not as an individual comparison.

Rafa needs to learn some humility before he can get the respect he wants. His team is great, and thankfully they don't take on his persona.
Bullish Bell starts the long walk back 1:16pm on 12 Apr 2009 England selection policies are yet again strange to say the least. Bell gets dumped unceremoniously and now has little time with his county to show his treatment was wrong.
Strauss gets the same treatment for the India tour and without doing anything is brought back and is now captain. Strauss is the guy who dumps Bell.
It's always nice to have consistency at the top - BAH!

Friday the 13th hits Antigua 12:29pm on 15 Feb 2009 At every level of cricket I have watched I have seen bowlers running up to the wicket BEFORE a match to get a feel of the environment. This wasn't done here? Payola and apathy brother.
With Strauss now saying the ARG has a 'result wicket' England might as well go home and decide what fiasco will hit the rest of the summer.
Who'd make your Ashes starting XI? 2:33pm on 23 Dec 2008 I find it sad that this is still the proposed team, the one that has failed miserably. I do not see enough county cricket to suggest other players, but this team has too many players who are on a last lifeline - colly, bell, harmison, prior, monty even strauss.
Where are the youngsters? Broad is a success and he was given a chance at a run. So where are the others? Blood Rashid and look at the shorter version players; the more the teams are different the bigger the divide will be in the interest by the fans and test cricket needs interest not just to be the background matches between ashes series.
So my cry is to reduce the average age by building the team with youth and excitement, don't keep a player beyond his expiration date and don't recycle past discards.

1. what about Rugby Union's LIONS?
The UK teams tour as ONE team and we still have separate teams for all other tournaments.

2. the other athletes are under one flag in the Olympics, whey shouldn't we have one soccer team?

3. It's UNDER 23 - I don't think Gerrard & co are eligible.

I haven't been and don't know if I will, but I am so interested in India that I was only disappointed that the piece stopped so abruptly, I wanted to hear more.
