I think this is the big turnaround. We will definitely win the next five world cups and the next Euro. We can't lose, all is good Capello for a sainthood.......until we have one loss, then I'm afraid it's kick him out, burn him and I never liked him all along. Welcome to English media Mr C.
Strictly surreal 11:40am on 20 Nov 2008 Yet another media driven storm in a tea cup. As with everything these days, it seems that the media can only concentrate on one thing at a time, be it a very dull ballroom dancing show, Ross and Brand, or the credit crunch. Surely there must be some more news worthy material out there to fill tomorrows fish and chip holders?
What is the point of the rugby league World Cup? 12:39pm on 24 Oct 2008 As an avid Rugby union fan, obviously my allegiance lies in the union code and also the union world cup, but I still love watching league and am looking forward to the League world cup.

As a sport, its powerful, skilful, brutal and entertaining and pulling it altogether in one tournament is without doubt always going to be the right thing. As for the “there’s no point, because there is always only one winner” point of view, I entirely disagree. As with any sport, the only way any nation will build and improve, is to play against better and more organised nations. Using a union example, you only have to look at how Italy and Argentina have come on in recent years to see this working.

I still hold out hope the league world cup will be brought ‘home’ (!?) to the Northern Hemisphere and will be glued to the set supporting any NH side!
Man Utd should sell 'slave' Ronaldo 2:05pm on 11 Jul 2008 For me, he is the epitome of everything that is wrong with football and many football players at the moment. He has been blessed with obvious talent, but chooses to spend as much time falling over and complaining as he does using it. The man obviously isn’t educated, if he agrees with the distasteful comments on “slavery” from Blatter and he apparently has absolutely no allegiance or commitment to any club, other than the one that is paying his huge wage at the time. I would sell him and invest the money in some home grown young talent that might show a bit more gratitude. I’m not a united fan though, so maybe they feel differently?
