Faldo - a true sporting great 02:01am on 13 Jun 2009 Why an Honour? He got well paid for what he enjoyed doing, that should be enough. It's not the Players of ANY Sport that should get honours, they should go to the bloody fools (usually volunteers), who make it possible for sports people to play. Playing the game should be ample reward for anyone. Then, when they retire see how many of them voluntarily put anything back into the game? Any way, to be given an honour by Brown is not worth having.

You forgot to mention that when Our National teams lose, it often does'nt get announced on the News or is given out as the last item on the news!!
The only "said to be sport" that really gets the headlines and total coverage, is Aussie Rules, which is really "All In Wrestling played with an Irish Ball".
Burnley show the way forward 11:23am on 26 May 2009 I find it difficult to understand why The FA has to put a Premier League Ref. in charge of these matches. It is not fair to the Referees, who all Season, control matches between Championshop Teams, only to see a Premier League Referee steal the glory of a Final. Why not give the the championship Refs a chance, after all, The Premier League Refs probably don't know their way to Burnley, Sheffield, Crewe etc!
