You have your priorities completely wrong BBC.
BBC Red Button Changes on Freeview 3:56pm on 20 Oct 2009 So basically Freeview watchers who don't use HD are being screwed.

What you're actually doing is providing LESS, but for a better picture quality for those privileged souls who can afford HD TV's and HD digital services.

So it's YOUR decision NOT to show anything longer than 10 minutes, post-2001?

It's YOUR decision too, then, that you decide NOT to show ANYTHING with James Allen involved?

That's the way I'm reading it. Unless you can confirm it's a "legal issue" that bars you from showing footage with James Allen, it absolutely stinks that you appear to be frightened of using Allen's commentary and with that, extended highlights, because, why? Because you are afraid that there will be a backlash?

Please.. Just come out in the open with it if it's a "legal issue". You don't need to go into detail, but surely people will keep asking questions until you categorically tell us whose choice and whose decision it was not to show any post 2001 extended highlights with James Allen commentating.
Your classic Brazilian Grand Prix 11:44am on 14 Oct 2009 Seeing as Abu Dhabi is the next race and the "title decider" (possibly), doesn't the BBC think it would be also appropriate to have had some of the more recent races (2008, for example), as part of a "Title Decider" special?

Would this not have been a more logical approach given that Abu Dhabi is a new circuit?

This would have allowed you to show the 2003 race during this week while letting people pick their favourite "title deciders" in time for the Abu Dhabi race.

So you have to get up for FP1 (that's ok) then watch the classic GP's, then watch FP2. Fun.
Ted Kravitz - the Singapore Grand Prix from the pit lane 11:22am on 30 Sep 2009 I think the Kimi/Lewis partnership could be fantastic.

We'll see 2 fast, aggressive drivers going at it - just what the sport always craves. Kimi won't care too much about who's on the other side of the garage, and will enjoy being in an oversteering car - perfect for Lewis, too. Hamilton shouldn't be bothered too much since Kimi's only going to be there a maximum of around 2 years at best.

The one to look out for in terms of trouble will be Massa/Alonso - two fiery Latinos pitted against each other.

Next year we'll have some very strong lineups.

Raikkonen/Hamilton
Webber/Vettel
Massa/Alonso

Could be a cracker.
Your classic Japanese Grand Prix 11:14am on 30 Sep 2009 @12 - Completely agreed - The Freeview service has been so inconsistent this year! For instance the other day there was the Singapore Qualifying Session being replayed for hour on end. My EPG said that it was "recorded coverage with 5live Commentary", and I assumed they did it because you couldn't use the red button to get the commentary while the session was live!

But it wasn't 5 live commentary at all - it was Legard!!
