Gotcha 2:34pm on 16 Sep 2009 Only a fool would believe Clown Brown was telling the truth about "his" investing while getting cuts from the Tories.
Much of the debt is his doing. He said no more Boom and Bust.

Diving me crazy 12:07pm on 29 Aug 2009 The reality is that whatever the player gets away with is affecting the result. To remedy that it is important that the use of cameras is used to rectify the mistake immediately and not to impose a pnalty to the player later.
How does that rectify any injustice to the team who suffered?
Extra refs is not the solution. It is those guys who are part of the problem by making the mistake in the first place.
What is beyond me is why the solution they propose is more officials. It smells of "jobs for the boys" to me.
Have a 4th official who can overrule a mistake and clarify where there is any doubt. It id better to have the occational delay BUT the correct result than have a miscarriage and everybody angry.
Morning of mourning for shell-shocked England 09:19am on 08 Aug 2009 We are a bit weak in the batting line-up, have had a problem with No 3 position.
Clearly not ideal with all the last-minute problems for the captain to open.
I think we should bring in another opener and let Strauss take the number 3 role.
We also seem to have our problems with the bowling line-up, with Anderson appearing to struggle with an injury, compounded with the loss of Flintoff.
We need a "Flintoff" in the team for the correct balance in batting and bowling.
Don't we miss him when he is out!

Daylight Droggery! 6:05pm on 07 May 2009 Referees should have to tolerate all kinds of abuse for getting things so badly wrong while they refuse to use technology.
All players want is the correct decisions and therefore the correct result.
Technology could at least guarantee the major cockups are rectified.
Ashes preparation starts here 10:08am on 05 May 2009 We play 3 forms of cricket, so I'd be OK with seeing 3 different wicket keepers for each form. In other sports you pick the best team for the circumstances. Squad rotation is no bad thing. The opposition don't know what to expect and the squad players get used to fitting in. This helps enormously when injuriies occur. The central contracts is not all roses, it ensures the same players get picked even if their form is rubbish.
We also have to move our wicket keepers batting position depending on whether Freddy is playing, so we should also consider which keeper to pick depending also on his batting position.
I'd prefer to see Freddy in than out, but he hasn't hit top form with the bat. Other bowling options may need to be considered to extract 20 wickets. Woakes is making progress. When will he be ready?

What on earth is this Johnstone's Paint Trophy? Which clubs can play in it? Isn't this another case of de-valuing Wembley?
Many top players will never get the chance to grace Wembley. It should not be used for play-offs or tin-pot finals. Neutral grounds should be used.

England must raise game in Zagreb 09:35am on 07 Sep 2008 The game would have been completely different if one of those early chances had gone in.
Rooney does not stay anywhere the location he needs to be. That's not to say he isn't a hard worker. It may have been out of frustration at the poor sevice, but when the crosses came in, he wasn't where needed.
Thought the overlapping by Glen Johnson gave us another dimension.
Against a team more inclined to attack England will find it easier to score, Croatia included.
Time for Capello to deliver 1:52pm on 04 Sep 2008 While I wish Capello and England well, I don't think it was a good idea to appoint a manager, who has not managed in the UK.
I wasn't against the idea of an non-English manager, and would have considered O'Niell, Wenger or Mourhino as suitable.
Capello, however, knows little about our English players, about the English mentality etc. and so will take him longer to settle in and make a difference. That doesn't mean to say he won't be able to bring success.
It all goes to show how poor the FA are at getting things right the first time round.
