Controversial Vick returns to the NFL 00:25am on 25 Sep 2009 What he did was despicable yes but there are others in professional US sport who have committed worse crimes. I could give examples but i´m sure you know whom i mean.
Vick has served his time, deserves a second chance and i for one think he will star oncemore in the NFL. He was very, very good before his misdemeanours.

The only blog worth reading these days in my mind. Excellent article. Cerezo brings back great memories from my youth as he was the mainstay of my Sampdoria subbuteo team. I remember the way he used to glide across the turf, making time and space for that killer pass for the terrible two Mancini and Vialli, in my mind one of the greatest striking partnerships in recent years and not just in subbuteo. I also remember my playing partner getting very frustrated one evening after a crushing defeat and instead of giving his Juve charges a good dressing down he instead ended all their careers by willfully crushing each and every member of the squad with his fist. They never recovered despite being put back together with superglue the following day.
Anyway i was present at La Bombanera last October when Boca took on Estudiantes and the midfield battle paired Riquleme up against Veron and that day their was only one winner. Veron was tremendous, never gave the ball away with both short and long passing and his breaking out from deep was exceptional. He looked a truly great player that day, very much in the mould of Cerezo. Thanks for the memories.

Basile exit sparks change of direction for Argentina 02:54am on 19 Oct 2008 Currently in Buenos Aires and the word today is that there may be a dream team of Batista and Maradona in charge for the Scotland game at least. I wonder how that would work out?
Having watched both the Uruguay and the Chile games it was very obvious all was not well. Apart from a 15 minute spell at the start of the Uruguay game Argentina did just not perform at all. Defensively on the flanks they look slow and weak. Any opposition coach must see that Heinze is a major weak link, just witness Chile´s goal in midweek.
Indeed having watched Brasil resort to 90 minutes of long ball football against Colombia (it was dire stuff and very un-Brasil like) Dunga may be the next managerial casualty if their form continues.
At this moment in time, the top European sides, Spain, England on present form would have nothing to fear from any South American opposition in 2010. I really hope that changes.
