Agassi confession lengthens shadow of doubt 11:33pm on 29 Oct 2009 At the end of the day, he no longer plays and has finished his career so decided to tell the truth in an autobiography.

There are 2 evils here, Agassi using drugs to sell his book and the media jumping on this opportunity to condemn a former legend.

Human beings never change.

My opinion is that this current approach will have one single outcome, no player will ever tell the truth about any drugs they have ever taken.

This way, everyone is happy and we can all go back to living in denial and pretending we are all perfect people, when perfection does not actually exist.

Humans are funny creatures.

Illegally invaded and occupied two countries because "God" told him.
Presided over the biggest increase in debt the country has ever seen.

Yet he is a suitable canididate for such a powerful position?

This so-called democracy is simply an old boys club that we the public have no real say over, and this news just proves that even more.

The public have had enough of all politicians and unless there is some drastic changes such as signicantly reducing the number of MP's and giving them an independent regulator, people will lose faith all together in the MP's from the 3 main parties and parties like the BNP will just get stronger and stronger.

The public cannot stand Tony Blair for how he ignored us and the mistakes he made, yet he can go for this position? How does that make any sense?

After 4 fantastic World Record breaking performances, he is already up there with the likes of Muhammed Ali, Rod Laver and Jesse Owens as true all-time sporting greats and he is only 22!

The drugs questions 4:35pm on 26 Jul 2009 History has taught us one very important fact. The minority only get heard if they become the majority, no matter how big the minority or how valid the argument.
The drugs questions 8:31pm on 25 Jul 2009 Check out Portugal, where they legalised every illegal drug. Everybody in the UK and USA predicted anarachy and were laughing their heads off at the Portuguese.

Result, there was no massive crimewave that everyone expected and latest statistics show that drug use has actually come down in some parts of Portugal.

Conclusion, the stick approach just does not work, people do what they want when they want, and the more you tell them they can't do it, the more they will want to do it, it is a proven psychological trait in all human beings.

The War on Drugs is just like the War on Terror, coined by evangelical Christians in the US and followed blindly by most European Western Christian democracies. All both wars do is create more Terrorists and more drug users.

As usual though, the democratic Christians just cannot see this and will brainwash us with the dangers and scare us to kingdom come, when examples like Portugal prove their fear mongering is actually detrimental and exacerbates the problem rather than solve it.

Maybe that's what they want...
