Losing Change 6:24pm on 29 Oct 2008 well that blew out of proportion and now Brand has quit. Maybe the BBC will offer matt morgan his own show, it was clear that he was the glue holding russell's show together. I enjoyed listening to the podcast and the show will be missed
It's Lampard or Gerrard 6:07pm on 13 Oct 2008 If England want a creative midfield that can keep possesion and play a good passing game the play Carrick and Lampard in the middle. If England want a midfield with a bit of bite, play a running game with energy play Hargreaves and Gerrard. Different Midfields for different matches.

The only way that Gerrard can be accommodated is if you play him behind the striker like Rafa does at Pool, but this would mean either dropping Rooney or sticking him on the left wing, which would not help England.
Football League's deadline day winners and losers 10:45am on 04 Sep 2008 Andy Williams going back to Hereford on Loan could be a great move for Hereford and for Williams. He lacked goals at Bristol but under the influence of Graham Turner he will find the net again.

If South Africa can continue to play cricket like this then they could seriously challenge Australia for the number one spot.

The England selectors need to think what they want to do for the next match. Do they play the same team and hope that they can avoid the whitewash, or do they try out some different members of the set up.
Frail batting costs England again 1:46pm on 31 Jul 2008 In reply to 265, I totally agree. Vaughan has gone down in my estimation after viewing that. He has never been too forward in interviews before and always tries and say the right things. But Aggers question was fair, and a personal jib back at aggers wasnt neccersary.
Pressure mounting on the England captain 9:30pm on 29 Jul 2008 Vaughan just doesnt seem to be able to cut it at the top of the order. It seems that Bell seems destined to play at number 3, he has all the shots and class to play there. A simple solution would be to drop Vaughan down the order to 5, if he still cant find form there then maybe its time for him to step down.

The team seems to be balanced with 4 bowlers, but the inclusion of colly is intriguing, is he really back in form? Shah is, and he has been banging on the door all season, he showed his class in a brilliant 75 in the T20 final. He would my pick ahead of colly on current form. The number 6 may be Bopara's or even Broad's in the future, but Shah should be in there for now.

Im interested to see how Sid and Fred play together, both fiery aggressive players capable of tearing any team apart, but will they be able to do it?
Finals day suggests England's got talent 3:48pm on 27 Jul 2008 It was great to see some good T20 being played, I have no problem with T20 if they were all up to this standard. But one thing that Hasnt been mentioned but was a big factor in such exciting cricket was the weather, it was glorious!
Now I only saw one T20 match this summer and that was Yorkshire vs Lancashire. It was a cold wet miserable night, the players were off and on again because of the weather and people were doing Mexican waves just to keep warm! Darren Goughs (Legend) last 3 overs triumph turned it into a good match but other wise it wasnt much of a spectacle- shows you how much fun you can have when the sun shines!

With that in mind the weather should be fine out in the west Indies! which means we should have some exciting cricket. But who has impressed enough to get into the England side.

Its time that England brought the one day side out from the doldrums start picking specialized players, instead of using players that might make it into the Test side.

Shah has always looked a class act and showed that he has shots that work well in both the Test and one day arena

Foster showed that its not all about batting in T20, his brilliant stumping will win you games and for me he should be in the England One day and T20 side.

Joyce and Key showed their experience and both captained well, and Denly showed that he is one for the future and if you put him alongside.

Udal and Tredwell showed how useful spinners are in T20.

But what I saw is that Medium paccers will always pick up wickets, perhaps more than the fast guys like Harmy. So Bopara and Colly need to be bowling more overs.
Five batsmen not enough for England 11:31pm on 21 Jul 2008 I would call up a squad of say 14/15 so we can have a proper try out in the nets and see who comes out on top.

Im all for Jones coming back into the side but can we get away with him bowling 5 over spells if we are fielding for 2 days again?

Also the balls that are being used this season are pretty crap and havent been swinging as much as before, they also loose shape pretty fast. Would this mean that Jones wouldnt be as effective?

some big decisions are going to have to be made.
Five batsmen not enough for England 8:15pm on 21 Jul 2008 defiantly 4 bowlers, give Broad a rest bring back Sid, if he is not fit play either Harminson, Jones, Hoggy or Tremlett(who should have played above pattinson). I would like to see what Foster could do with the gloves. And I would like to see a change in the batting order with Vaughan moving down to 5.
