Making new headlines 08:35am on 26 Nov 2009 Good blog!Just a little question.Is there going to be a live text for the ACON in January?I've asked Stevo and Cheese!The first didnt bother to reply while the latter offered apologies on behalf of her dozy colleague and mentioned there where tentative plans for the latter stages.Probably!So Mr Wiltshere will there be a live text or not?The last one a couple of years ago(Thanks to Bevo and Fletch)was a rousing success so i hope we get another.thanks!
Real, the Rossoneri and Ronaldinho 6:50pm on 20 Oct 2009 After the victory against Roma i beleive we go into the Bernabeu more in expectation than hope.I do believe there'll be more space to play than against the stifling defences in Serie A.It promises to be an enthralling encounter.By the way we seem to play better with Gattuso outta the side...hopefully Leonardo's noticed as well.
Most of Milan's problems lie at Galliani's and Berlusconi's feet...if they loosen the purse strings and stop giving contract extensions to Guiseppe Favalli who has to be 145 years old Milan will be fine.
On Benzema am i the only one that thinks he's a tad overweight?As for dropping Raul that's nonsense.He's started the season on fire and if Benzema doesnt like it he should be dropped and Higuain takes his place!
Can James answer England call? 08:36am on 08 Oct 2009 If none of the keepers are good enough the maybe England could go the ice hockey route and forego the keeper and play an extra outfield players.seriously though with the two top keepers playing for teams in the relegation zone and with Foster trying his best to wrest the calamity tag from James this issue shouldn't cloud the fact that the qualifiers went on without too much of a hitch between the sticks.Whoever gets picked will do a good job James>Green>Hart should be the keepers picked for the World Cup!
Italian renaissance for Sampdoria 08:26am on 06 Oct 2009 I don't think Cassano'll ever play for Italy under Lippi...if he didn't get invited after the disastrous Confed Cup fiasco I doubt he'll play when they are on the cusp of World Cup qualification.Lippi obviously doesn't want a disruptive influence in the squad.

Testing times for Van Gaal at Bayern 12:33pm on 30 Sep 2009 Van Gaal's a good coach but seems to have a penchant for clashing with his star players.His falling out with Rivaldo at Barca is a prime example.Even though it was obvious the Brazilian was more effective in the middle Van Gaal insisted he play on the left.Same thing seems to be playing out with Ribery.I wish him well though.At least he doesn't keep reminding us that he's European Champion like a self appointed'Special'coach does!

Premier League & England Q&A 6:41pm on 25 Sep 2009 I love the hyperbole on this blog.Rooney a great player admired world wide?Utter rubbish!Are you on the sauce again McNulty?The lad's not too bad at what he does but to be termed great is ridicolous.All English players are overrated.Growing up I actually believed Shilton was the best goalkeeper,Butcher the best defender and Lineker the best striker.Tosh i later found out.Rooney's good but so far from great its untrue!
