He adds nothing to overall play - he can't hold the ball up, he can't bring others into the game.

When you need to fight to gain a foothold in the game, and you strikers to hold the ball up to relieve pressure owen aint your man.

He doesnt even have the pace for the ball over the top to stretch the defence. Nor is he scoring so many goals as to make his goal scoring ability undeniable.

let him have an injury free and goal-laden six months and then see whether he's worth a place.

Notice not much talk about europe? He's all over the centre ground until you get EU policy and suddenly he shows himself to be the reactionary he is deep down.

In an age where power and money is shifting east the idea we can continue punching above our weight internationally without being a central part of the EU is a joke.
Regrets? Just the one 12:05pm on 29 Sep 2008 'Office of Budget Responsibility' - this is a joke suggestions by Cameron. What is the Treasury there for if not for deciding fiscal priorities? Who will make up this OBR and what powers of veto will they have over government spending?

The Tories love to talk about how Labour has left 'nothing for a rainy day'. Presumably this means they would not have invested the many billions in the NHS that New Labour were forced to do after years of chronic udner-funding under major and thatcher. Of New Labour's spedning over the past ten years, what exactly would Dave not have done, that's the question.
Charles in charge as British athletics goes Dutch 1:12pm on 23 Sep 2008 will be interesting to see what he can do with our young sprinters and our 400m runners like Rooney.
