I always find Robbo's blogs entertaining and would post on them more often. The problem in recent weeks though is that too many of the posts have been about JDR etc and rarely about the blog itself. Got a bit boring but that seems to be not the case today.

To be fair JDR has not contributed too much recently and when he has it's usually been to pass comment on the subject matter and not on the so-called aims and objectives of this blog. Which is a relief.
Wenger boys against men 4:40pm on 30 Nov 2009 Btw, didn't catch up with Ireland's bid to be the 33rd team in South AFrica till the blog was put through. Bloody ridiculous idea mind you. We've all pilloried Henry for his palpably deliberate handball, but the Irish are going on like they were dead certs to win that match and that is simply not true. The replay won't happen. The late inclusion won't happen either cos they were about to get involved in penalties in Paris, which is by no means a certainty (unless you're England). I'm gutted for them, but enough already with the hare-brained schemes to somehow finagle a position in the finals that was by no means guaranteed before the Henry handball. If you can't replay the game - or just get each team to do a penalty shoot-out somewhere neutral - my back garden'd do - then just bite on a bit of old carpet, choke back the tears - thank your lucky stars for Keane's pen in Georgia, and live with it.

I have to say it's particularly ridiculous when this whingeing comes from managers of the better clubs who are, by definition, going to have more international footbnallers on thier books. If you don't like all this meddling, go and manage Darlington.

The Miseryside derby 10:24am on 27 Nov 2009 Let me just make it clear - that insane desperado masquerading as my missus overnight was no one of the sort. The dear love slept peacefully, if noisily by my side from 11 till 7 when she awoke to do her Elle McPherson work-out DVD before breakfast. I've tried it meself but found myself just slumping on the sofa and gawping at the woman instead.
