The Goodwin pension questions 11:14am on 27 Feb 2009 On the other hand ..I don't know how long he has been at the helm, but RBS have been making millions/billions in profits for years, this chap helped them all do it. The squaeky sharholders, whiter than whites, hindsights and holier than thou's were not objecting then. Now we have a witch hunt, the old disease of someone who was successful and now the great british illness of envy and knocking them down. So currently one bad year out of how many??. Perhaps much noise is made so others do not get looked at to closely. Go and ask the institutional shareholders who have been trousering all the profits for years for some pay back
The Goodwin pension questions 10:54am on 27 Feb 2009 I see after much hand wringing, the rounds are being done about how much council tax increases are going to be and how they are doing their best to keep them at a minimum. Last year we more tax payer waste as minions were sent out with clipboards to have legal access to your house and investigate whether you had an extension, loft conversion, a box room! or a better view than others....in order that you can be taxed more for it!, (where does this interference stop and when are the public going to start putting a stop to it. My questions is that as the original minios were sent out to value your house and apply relevant banding, why now that my house has dropped 25- 40% in value does my council tax banding now come down to reflect this. I dont see any minions with clipboards out there now!!?

A crucial week for Spurs 6:27pm on 25 Aug 2008 I don't know...there seems to be so many rumours and so many clubs home and abroad chasing all the same set of players!. I'm more concerned as to how badly managed the whole scenario is, where we are now starting a new season without two of the best strikers and now one gone and the other not wanting to play for us with other things on his mind and us running around desperately trying to get the best deal we can after losing the first game of the season and we still have no idea who we are buying and what partnership and whoever it may be has yet still to settle in anyway. What a shambles,..its not like we have had the whole summer to sort this out properly..typical only 'professional' football can carry on and conduct a business like this. In the meantime our competitive edge has diminished even with the other signings and injured players back, we have already lost ground and will be on a clawback situation which is not fair on the other players and signings that the management can't get its act to together and then if we do not progress in or towards europe again then more players will be off to play for a club that knows where its going and can actually organise itself before the bloody season starts!.
Frail batting costs England again 8:35pm on 30 Jul 2008 How can the captain be a selector and the new policy to select on form and not history does not quite stand up with Vaughan apart from his knock against N.Z. he has been pretty useless for sometime. Such is his determination he looks completely stressed out and why on earth would you select Colly?. His entire demanour is that of a rabbit in headlights.

I think the selectors have to be much more adventurous and merciless, we are trying to win after all!. Further to this the amount of mistakes they seem to make is unbelievable, what on earth was Strauss doing?, why does somebody not have a serious word with Pieterson, on his day a fantastic player, but one trick pony and certainly does appear to possess any brains in fact that could apply to many of them. They appear to be going backwards especially with loyalty handicap the selectors seem to possess.
Is it time to turn vegetarian? 11:12pm on 03 Jun 2008 Forgetting the obvious once a hippy always a hippy outlook and ideals..they just wont go away!. My point is if countries run their livestock right down to zilch. Surely that is overlooking the climate change factor!?, i.e forests are being pulled up for money and weather patterns have changed to deluge of downpours and droughts for extended periods are becoming common e.g. Australia. If one or all of these catastrophes should befall a country/ies are they not then being accused of being shortsighted and the potential for a disaster. There has to be a balance in just about everything, otherwise you end up with an extreme.
