Good blog aswell. As an Arsenal fan i cant really remember a drop in individual performances around this time of the season but we always have a bigger squad than most so rotation is always a possibility (even if some people try nd claim that our squad isnt big enough... which has a level of truth to it i must admit) but its never been a time of year we thrive on as team, not in recent seasons anyway. Ill keep an eye on the players thou cuz its never really been something i've thought about to be honest.

Hope u get off the bench soon, good luck with the rest of the season, keep up the good work with the blog and keep those responses coming! Seriously hardly ever see people bothering to reply directly to comments on their blog, and never more than one reply to something they either agree with or makes them fume, and im not just talking about this site, but keep it up cuz we'll love u for it :D

Does anyone else feel that he may just be trying to set him self up, just incase his plans for the future of the side go pair shaped and we go nowehere, in a position where he can turn it back around on the fans and say, "you booed, your fault, not mine or my players".

Im not saying i 'believe' this to be the case, but i have a suspicion and its undeniably a possibility. After all, the highly publisised time at Madrid, with disagreements over playing style, to transfers with the board and even falling outs and accusations favouretism between him and the players, we know he doesnt mind getting involved in a bit of football politics.

When i watch England now i see a shoddy display by 11 so called world class players. I dont feel any connection to the side, i dont feel any representation when Sir David (he wishes) or mr avarage Lampard step out onto that field.

I used to support England, but these days i cant. When we lost against Croatia i was shocked to realise i was happy. I couldent understand it. Now i think i do. I dont like the players, i recon most of them treat their England place as a money making achievement, not a challenge.

If i was the manager id drop Lampard, thank Beckham for his time, but make it clear the end is now. Bring in Bentley, Young should be in the squad if not starting. Give form players a chance no matter who they're playing for as long as its at a top level (bye bye mr. Beckham).

What baffles me is a man who is meant to be a brilliant tactitian, even if hes sides dont always play the most attractive football, playing Barry as a holding player. Barry has never been a holding player, hes a box to box mid, the same problem u get with Lampard and Gerrard, u'll get with either of them and Barry. Get Hargreaves in, a proper holding player who prides himself on doing a job and doing it well, stick gerrard next to him.

The waiting game 7:57pm on 26 Jul 2008 Ah well, Barry got applauded in the end by the 'dimwitts' today. How any1 can be called a dimwitt for getting upset over one of their star players, whos always been at the club, wanting to leave and then insulting the club itself i duno.

Oh and btw, for every1 constantly slagging off Arsenal, currently we have, Henri Landsbury, Mark Randall, Kieran Gibbs, Jay Simpson, Jay Thomas and Jack Wilshire, 6 English players who are making a real impact in the reserves. Ud think atleast 2 will make it in the Arsenal first team and in my opinion all will be premiership class players.

So there u go, Wenger wont go nd spend 18mil on Darren Bent, cuz hes too intelligent, but hes made sure we have an academy that can produce our own English/British talents, and very soon the fruits of that academy (that over the last 5 seasons hes completely revelutionised) will come apparent. Then u'll all have egg on ur faces might i add...

Not to mention that Wenger himself has said that while the current second string are very impressive, between the ages of 14 and 16 he claims we have the most technically gifted group of youngsters of that age hes ever seen at the club. So that sounds promising.
The waiting game 5:45pm on 25 Jul 2008 Isnt this slightly hypocritical, a massive article on all the transfer sagas, with the main emphasis on how ur boared of reading about transfer sagas. I agree with u, but my advice is if u dont like it, dont read it, and for the love of god stop writing about it.

Yeserday i read a great article by Paul Fletcher focusing on Lincoln city's manager Jackson and some of his transfer stories. It was refreshing and a great read, and i said, and i quote "before i started reading this i thought it'd be a robboesque rant about the summe transfer sagas". Now what do u know, the day after, we get a robboesque rant on the summer transfer sagas.

Come on Robbo, ur a good wrighter and u make good points. How about wrighting us an article on summin we dont already know. Ur better than this.
Tales from the transfer market 7:03pm on 24 Jul 2008 Refreshin article Paul, good read.

Before i started readin i thought it'd be a Robboesque rant about some of the transfers goin on this summer. But instead it was interesting, informative and quite amusing. Nice to know football can still be run by personality and a bit of chance rather than corporation style number crunching.

Good luck to Jacko for next season and i hope the Romanian turns out to be their Pele, and Lincoln City his Santos.

Now thats just a stupid comment, based of Cech's at times avarage displays last season and rubbish Euro, all adding up to the conclusion that the best keeper in the world isnt quite as unbeatable as it first appeared, Van Der Sarr is quite possibly the best keeper in the league at the moment. Keepers can play to a ripe old age and Van Der Sarr aint done yet.
