Top Gear on BBC HD from November 15th 4:35pm on 22 Sep 2009 Unfortunately I was not surprised that at the end of last week's Country File there was no mention of the move to HD from next week!!
However, thanks for continuing to maintain BBCHD as the No1 HD multi genre channel; Country File, Top Gear, Strictly, Lost Land of Volcano, Later, Beautiful People, Shooting Stars.......... the list goes on - STUNNING!! and all without an HD supplement on the TV Licence - MARVELLOUS!!
Picture Quality on BBC HD: a response 2:25pm on 20 Sep 2009 Yes, I also had a few sound problems during Saturday's SCD; noticeably when the programme switched from dancing/music to Brucie.

Cold weather and a new look online 06:57am on 07 Mar 2009 I do like the new look. There are a couple of annoying glitches though -

1) I am being linked to the wrong Forecast Video; it should be BBC South East Today, i'm getting BBC South Today and

2) Latest Observations is at least 1 hour behind those on the Met Office site.

FYI my nearest Forecast is Eastbourne and my nearest Met Office is Herstmonceux.

Thank you for addressing many or the points raised over the past few weeks.

Of course, in time I expect HD versions of all BBC channels will be available simulcasting their SD brothers (or sisters), those of us who want it all now will have to wait I guess. Also (not your problem) but will be good to have ITV HD available via Sky.

In the meantime however there have been many, many brilliant offerings on BBC HD, Nature's Great Events for me stands out. Also Damages, Hustle, Mad Men, Not Going Out are definately enhanced being HD.

Shame about f1.

Anyway, please keep up the good work.
A Christmas Present from the HD Channel! 1:27pm on 02 Jan 2009 re: wednesday83's comment - have you set up your tv correctly? To say that SD picture is better than the HD picture suggests to me that you may have not. Do you have a scart connection between your HD box and TV? If so remove it. Set all your picture adjustments to 'normal', i.e. no enhancements etc.

An example of poor HD picture quality was CH4's Peter Kay 'Talent' show. Poor studio lighting being the culprit i think.
BBC HD TV Update 7:30pm on 24 Jul 2008 hi, on the whole I really appreciate and enjoy the offerings on BBC HD. Recent 'brilliances' for me have been Neil Diamond at Glastonbury and The First Night of the Proms.
I wonder if you could explain 'bitrate' for me. I suspect the higher it is the better the picture quality, therefore the lower it is the worse the picture quality. I do notice a difference between various HD channels, e.g Eurosprt HD, Sky Arts HD is excellent, do they use a higher bitrate than BBC HD?
