The article clearly states he's a football man? 'He's a fanatical Liverpool fan'. So?!

Does that give him the right to possess one of the most important jobs in football?

I've never seen him in a Liverpool shirt, I've don't recall seeing him cheer wildly when we lifted the trophy in 05'.

These's guys in their shiny suits and big fat cars are so far away from reality when it comes to football and the average supporter. They get a car-park space right next to their executive box where they can sit and eat sandwiches and occasionally look over and watch the match whilst deciding what theme their next orgy is going to be.
Capello and Barwick suffer as England struggle 04:19am on 21 Aug 2008 I'm not going to bark on about the game, tacitcs, or who plays what position. Every man and his dog has a valid opinion about that...

I do however hope that getting rid of Barwick will change certain things. I'm a firm believer that those that be in the FA have a huge responsibility to us the supporters. They have the power and influnce to change things. Make English football better and something to be proud of again. How much do these 'suits' really care about the football or are they just happy to be making huge amounts of cash. Barwick is a man who I'm sure can run a good business and hold a meeting, however what were his credentials in regards to football? What experience does he have? Has he ever paid to watch a game before? Has he ever stood in the terrace and cried, sung, cheered his team till has voice had gone?

We need someone who can really understand football from grass roots level to the international scene and not someone who is in it to make the best profit. The average supporter is getting very sick of the money being thrown around the game with wages, coporate and sponsorship. We just want to see the pride back in the national team....and some common sense.
Losing to the Brits 00:37am on 21 Aug 2008 I'm a Brit living in Australia at the moment. The coverage over he is incredible. Two of the five 'normal' channels show wall to wall Olympics. Fair play to them, they show their support and encourage their team. I wonder how much coverage the the Olympics is getting back home?
Wednesday's international football 00:23am on 21 Aug 2008 ...about time. The guy was a joke. What possible credentials did this fool possess. Oh I know he was a smart business man and could probably hold a meeting well, but so could my dad. We need someone with a history of football knowledge. Someone that can understand the fans perspective and be our voice...
