What was HBOS doing? 2:18pm on 24 Aug 2009 I note the comment of Lloyds reducing it exposure. Selling bad debts to debt collection companies is not reducing the risk, it's just digging a deeper hole for the poor people who are suffering more than they. My wife made redundant, I've been put on short time for the foreseeable future. result is our income halved in the space of a fortnight. Mortgage payments going missed or half paid. Electric and Gas now on cards (costs double to buy gas and electricity this way. Worked out a deal with the water company. Car loan company have been helpful. THE MOST UNHELPFUL? Guess who? You've got it. My bank manager. 22 years of loyal, mostly in the black, business from me and when I asked for some help to see me over this period, well now. I wonder what I had stepped in as clearly the smell wasn't polite and in his eyes it wasn't coming from him. All the year this bank has had my money and turned over my money for their benefit and the first time I need some help where are they? Sadly lacking. Oh and by the way. They sold my credit card debt within 3 months of the account going into arrears.

Personally I don't trust any one of them anymore.

I asked each of the candidates at my door, "do you agree that it is we the electorate that vote you into your seat?" They all answered yes.

I then asked them to confirm that once elected they would represent the views of the voters who voted for them. They all agreed.

I then asked, If you know a party vote is at odds with that of your voters, who will you support? All of them said with total conviction that they would support the party.

That is not democracy nor is it representing the electorate. It's Dictatorship on the part of the party leader.

So they are all at it. Feathering their own nests and pockets at our expense.

Then we poor minions who are taxed to fund it all are not allowed to stand up and ask questions. There's a new law preventing us. Ask GB and TB. They proposed it and brought it into being.

We are all now so busy entertained with the LloygdsTSB scandal, we lost sight of the Labour Lords charging £100,000 for a new law in favour of the payee.

I wonder if any of these payments were from KCB's in the banking industry?

Still. We have an un-elected prime minister. Why should I be surprised if my supposition's correct.

Where was the due diligence on the part on the LloydsTSB accountants? Surely somebody somewhere asked for due diligence on HBOS before such recommendations were made.

Get the pick, shovel and spade out and dig.

Bet you unearth that such action was taken but someone with a KCB and palls with GB chose to ignore the decision.

They have created a lot of misery for a lot of people with their reckless lending policies.

If you haven't suffered the ignominy of phone calls starting at 8 am, through the day whilst you're at work. And then in the evening up to 9 pm: For a current account just £40 overdrawn!

Let them experience this from their peers.

Strip them of their knighthoods and show them for the Ernest Saunders, Jack Lyons, Anthony Parnes and Gerald Ronsons (Guinness Fraud), that they are.

But there again, Guinness miraculously recovered from alzheimers.

The world media is in a feeding frenzy about financial matters and along comes some Microsoft lovey dovey nerd who has a personal issue with Apple Mac, and he has the power to wipe billions of dollars worth of value off Apple Inc.

I don't know who I should feel sorry for first. The operators of the site where the story was posted, the nerd that posted it or the idiot who read the post and reacted to it.

Either way, the operators of the site need to have control over what's posted and to have such postings checked before being allowed in to the public domain.

This is the dictionary's interpretation of insurance. The next time I walk into my Chemist I'll ask for a claim form. Don't you just know that the look on the face will say it all.
