Never off-duty 12:49pm on 13 Aug 2009 How often MPs are 'on duty' is something that really should be discussed. As much as they may need to let off steam, they are chosen to represent the public and should expect the same level of scrutiny and attention as celebrities get when considering the level of pay, power and responsibility that comes with the job.

mrbuzz59 - you just put in ten words what I've been trying to say for the past two months. I commend you (and also Obama and his Democrats for their approach in this election).
McCain loses it 10:56am on 23 Oct 2008 Despite endless goading from the Republicans, the Democrats have ignored it and stayed true to their message. Decency seems to have prevailed in the end.

Have no doubt, the Republicans will redouble their efforts (even possibly seeing Palin on a four year crash course in politics) so it is up to all of us who now feel vindicated to educate people who haven't yet strayed too far to the right about the world we live in today - not the one we lived in ten years ago.
