If we didn't already know that Brown is a hypocrite, now its abundantly clear. Yesterday he promises constitutional reform, today he places more Labour stooges and puppets in an unelected legislative chamber.

How can we believe a word the man says?

The so-called 'reshuffle' was a joke, Brown is joke, the Labour Party is a joke. Its time it was consigned to the dustbin of history. It lost any principles it ever had long ago. Brown's arrogance knows no bounds.

On top of it all, Wales has been stuck with Hain for another year. Pathetic.

Ms Powys implied it would be something other than the WO. She might get you a Lucky Dip but as for choosing the numbers, perhaps not.

We of course don't know how long Brown and his not so merry henchmen will actually be there. We'll have to wait for the results of the Euro elections and the reaction to them in the Labour PP.

Is Hain an improvement on Murphy as far was Wales is concerned? I think Hain is more out for his career than anything else. A return to the WO isn't much in the dying weeks or months of a failed Labour government. He landed us with the unworkable GoWA 2006, which under the Tories will be an unmitigated disaster. It looks as if Hain's political future is modest, to say the least.

Murphy? I wonder if his anti-devolution views will be moderated somewhat considering Labour's imminent demise at Westminster, if not in Wales as well.

If Labour retains a Welsh rump sufficient to lead an administration in the Bay, which is entirely plausible, then more devolution, not less would be in the Party's interests. Whether that is sufficient to get their self-serving MPs from Wales, who fear losing their seats because of legislative devolution, to change their attitudes is doubtful. They are not noted for their visionary abilites, or for any other, imo. For all the good they have done for their country over the decades, they could be pensioned off without us noticing any difference.

I have to give you credit. More thought and consideration this time.

I believe that Wales has a great deal to offer the rest of the world, and particularly the European Union - a continent historically riven with rivalry, division, warfare and conquest.

One quarter of the 44 American Presidents can trace their lineage back to Wales. We have a population of three million people, educated, talented and versatile - the equal, if not better of many of the current members of the EU, and most of the world community.

Wales has natural resources. A tremendously varied and beautiful landscape and coastline - the envy of many less fortunate parts of the world. Wind, water, and coal in abundance. Wales has its own unique Language and culture, which visitors enjoy and admire, yet all of us are able to speak, converse, read and write in English, an international language.

Wales is a land which has endured conquest, subjugation and occupation, and therefore our people have an understanding of all that entails and a consequent sympathy for all other subject nations and peoples. Many have made their home here. One-third of our population was born elsewhere.

Of course, its impossible to prove what Wales can achieve in the future. Other, less fortunate, nations have succeeded, and there is no reason to believe that Wales cannot do so as well.

What we do know is Wales's history, particularly its recent history. Its relative poverty - EU Objective One funding - which is a measure of its backwardness and lack of development. There's been a failure over the decades to develop Wales' resources and build up its infrastructure. The responsibility for those failures must lie with the British State, and nowhere else.

The forthcoming EU elections underline Wales' weakness within the UK and the EU. It has only four seats in the European Parliament (reduced from five) and no seat on the Council of Ministers or the Commission. Our four MEPs have not even pulled together or agreed to meet regularly. Some haven't even lived in Wales. We have been excluded from the Eurozone, and are paying the price for it right now. Sterling has been devalued by 30% and the BoE is printing money at the rate of two billion pounds a week. That will result in massive inflation in the coming years, and more poverty for us.

The choice is stark. Either more of the same misery we've endured for more than a century, or a new and promising future where we confidently map out our own destiny in the community of nations.

Exactly, Wales doesn't count. That's why it is poor, has been poor, and will be poor, as long as its part of a lopsided Union.

Do I want a general election now? Yes I do and No I don't.

Yes, I want to be rid of all the rotten or corrupt or selfish or greedy or self-serving MPs (which I would estimate to be at least 50% of the Commons' incumbents). If it were up to me, they would be sacked, face prosecution, and barred from public service for life. They would forfeit their pension entitlement and made to repay, with interest any expenses not wholly and necessarily incurred in their duties as MPs.

No I don't, because as yet I don't know the extent of the corruption or milking of the system that has taken place. ALL the details need to be published in an unredacted form, not for the last FOUR years but the last SIX years (as per Inland Revenue rules and the Law).

How can we decide who to vote for without that information? Undoubtedly if an election were to take place now imo, then Cameron would be elected by about 35-40% of the electorate but with a huge majority. It would be another 'minority' government, unrepresentative of the electorate. The election would be decided in about 50 marginal seats mainly in England. Our votes in Wales would make little or no difference to the outcome. That means that Wales would be of little consequence to Cameron and the Tories. His party would be in power for at least five if not ten years. Any possibility of parliamentary, constitutional and electoral reform would be lost, as it would not be in the Tories' interest to make any fundamental changes.

It doesn't put me in a dilemma as to which party to vote for. I want self-determination for Wales, and be rid of the rotten Westminster system forever. However, millions of voters will be in a quandary, especially in England, as they won't want to vote for any of the parties mired in scandal. So they may plump for the extremists - those who want to ruin us by taking us out of Europe or those who essentially have racist policies or attitudes.

I don't want Brown to be in charge for another second, let alone a year, as he has been IMO an unmitigated disaster as Chancellor and as Prime Minister. Cameron and the Tories will be even worse for Wales. We may get another Redwood in the Welsh Office and English Tory MPs to fill seats in the Welsh Affairs Committee.

I can understand the SNP seeing some merit in all this, as many Scots will likely detest a Tory Government and will vote for independence. It may benefit Plaid in the medium term, when the people of Wales see how bad things are and the Scots voting with their feet out of the Union.

That makes a change! I'm sure you weren't on ALL morning Ms Powys, perhaps 30 seconds now and then? The BBC's News Channel rarely mentions Wales. Brown, Cameron and Clegg, and/or some of their lackeys, are on it everyday. That goes for the BBC's news bulletins, Andrew Marr, the Politics Show, Daily Politics and Newsnight too! It applies to the other public service broadcasters in the UK as well.

How often do we get to see Ieuan Wyn Jones, Alex Salmond or any other Plaid or SNP politicians on these channels or programmes? There isn't any balance in the system. It always works in favour of the so-called 'mainstream' unionist parties. Despite massive disadvantages in the UK's media and press the SNP and Plaid are making headway. To make matters worse, the unionist parties get their proportionate share of time programmes aired only in Wales or Scotland.

I hope you noticed as you drove through Swansea, Ms Powys, how run down and underdeveloped the city centre is, as are many parts of Wales, which have been run for generations by a fag end old Labour party, or more recently by a rag-bag coalition of LibDums (not a typo) Tories and pathetic 'independents'. Many of the latter were defectors from a failed Labour party which intended to deselect them.

I gather that the LibDums in Swansea have spent over 10 million pounds re-jigging Swansea's road system over a period of 3-4 years causing massive disruption in order to introduce bendy-buses on just one route! They haven't actually started them yet! In the meantime dear old Boris is trying to sell these monsters, but can't find any buyers. All the traffic is now directed through Swansea's Kingsway, the City's main thoroughfare! No wonder Swansea has gone down the pan!
