Nick Griffin on Question Time 7:49pm on 25 Oct 2009 I did not think this before but after reading the version of the instructions issued to the audience for Question Time I am now concerned that Nick Griffin was set up to be knocked down, which for a supposedly impartial publicly funded organisation is disgraceful.

Having attended a QT recording myself I know that 'Yes' the audience do submit the questions but I also know the producers 'Pick' the questions, so in reality that blows your statement to smithereens.

Like most people nowadays I don't trust the BBC one iota when it comes to anything to do with politics, it is too one sided, patronising, arrogant and out of touch with the vast majority of ordinary decent people, those who feel they have no control over the dominating elite be they in government, the media or industry.

I have no doubt in my mind that the UK is a country on a path to conflict and strife, betrayed and lied to by politicians, manipulated by the media and exploited by industry, more people each day, each month, each year becoming disillusioned with the greedy arrogant bunch in control. As Wolfie use to say 'Roll on the Revolution'.

Guest: Jamie Cullum 7:22pm on 21 Oct 2009 I've taken to switching off or over The One Show, don't you people ever get fed up with trying to brainwash everyone into your narrow view of the world. Your arrogant condemnation of anyone who dares hold a view that doesn't fit in with what you consider is right I really find small minded and reminiscent of old style soviet technocrats.

Guests: Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer 11:09pm on 26 Aug 2009 Both your presenters, whoever they are looked very uncomfortable when Bob Mortimer inferred that 'we are all come from the working classes' or words to that effect, you could see them squirm, especially the old boy. Can you really categorize people in this way, typical BBC middle class snobbery if you ask me, see I'm at it as well, putting people in boxes but then again that's what the BBC mindset is and if you dare go outside one of their 'perfect human being containers' as illustrated by the example of the likes of Maggie Thatchers daughter, you get the whole BBC media Mafia coming down on you like a ton of bricks, restricting both freedom of thought and speech. What did I hear a guy on radio 4 say last night 'if you stay in a job too long you become arrogant and don't listen to people' just about sums up the BBC, about time they had a change and closed the whole monolithic monopoly down.

Guest: Jerry Springer 8:57pm on 26 May 2009 Seemed a strange thing for Adrian Chiles to say to that purveyor of tv trash and exploiter of the poor and uneducated Jerry Springer that being an American he should know better than most about how people fighting are affected by conflict, being as the USA has been constantly at war since 1945. Perhaps Adrian should read a little history, from what I know the British have been constantly at war with someone or the other for the past 500 years and since 1945 she has not known one year of peace, in fact the British have a proud history of military violence unequalled by any other race but as alarming as some people might find that, the fact is the longest period of peace the world has ever known was when the British had an Empire. Ooo you can't say that, Ooo I can I ain't quite been brainwashed by the BBC yet.

Thanks from BBC News 9:25pm on 05 Feb 2009 Most people are just getting on with their lives in this weather, we all know its bad and make allowances, allow extra time for getting to work and understand the councils and highways departments are doing their best but BBC television news just keep going on and on and on about how bad things are, its like an episode of Eastenders, is this to take our minds off the thought police now running the BBC and failing in their attempts to brainwash us into their 'politically correct' way of thinking.

I work with people from countries far and wide, Nepal, Afghanistan, Ghana, Philippines, France, Germany, South Africa, India all over and we all get on extremely well, can joke and banter with each other, be un-politically correct, be honest with each other about race, creed and religion in a world totally at odds with the world of the BBC.

The BBC has lost the plot and it about time someone came in and gave you all a great big kick up the arse, you are totally out of touch with reality and all your attempts to convert the Great British public into your weird world view have failed causing us to hold you in absolute contempt.

Your television news coverage when compared to other providers is terrible, whereas once you could be relied upon to report world events in detail and in believed impartiality you now concentrate almost exclusively on home events, offer a suspect view of external events and manipulate stories that are in anyway critical of the BBC i.e. Ross, Brand and Thatcher.

I use to think the BBC was one of this countries greatest institutions and the greatest gift this country had given the world, I now wish for it to be broken up and sold off, it could not be any worse and in fact it would probably be better as you would have to take into account the thoughts, feelings, beliefs of normal, not honest or perfect, sometimes racist and dishonest average human beings called British people., the people you are supposed to serve.

Spot on I thought that years ago and its always puzzled me, I mean there must be thousands if not millions of news stories happening everyday around the world but like you say 'they all report the same things'.

I can understand it with the really big stories but they are lots of big stories around the world we don't hear about, who decides what is news and do the news broadcasters create the news, I think so.
Lively debate 10:32pm on 16 Jan 2009 I been to a recording of Question Time and must admit I found it very interesting and entertaining but I did start to wonder how the BBC pick their audiences.

As Fox News would say 'fair and balanced' but should it be, should an equal amount of people with varying opinions, minority views, each be given a chance to give their minority opinion, each opinion given equal weight but should they be?

For instance Britain is a country of minorities, its always been but those minorities have always until now had a majority belief in common values, customs and a British way of life but that has changed. There is no longer a common thread that links us together, our leaders and media have divided us or at least provide the tools to divide us. We do not practice integration, as they do in other countries, we practise multiculturalism in other words, division in the belief that it will bring about integration, it won't.

We now question everything, which is good but do we question too much to the point where people become confused, are people so bombarded with questions and opinions including some that in the past would have been dismissed as alien to our culture that they actually turn off, or as I suspect, are they likely to react in a extreme way i.e. lose faith in everything, government and the media especially the BBC which as the name suggests is supposed to be British but you sometimes wonder.

Thursdays audience appeared to have been extra especially picked, but did they represent the majority minority of the British people, not a chance.

I had visions of Question Time being broadcast at the beginning of the second world war with Nazi sympathisers in the audience being given equal airtime and us just seeing Churchill as a warmonger picking on those poor abused Germans.

I'm sure I'm one of the decent majority minority that are sickened by the pictures from Gaza each evening but would the BBC give us a moral lead, no.

I switched off after half an hour, if I'd wanted to watch Jerry Springsteen I would have tuned into that show in the first place.

The impression I get is that people in the UK have generally lost faith in the BBC me included, maybe it is because of the Blair and Campbell coup d'etat or perhaps it is because of the general impression given out is of a corporation staffed by people who have been institutionalised into a type of group think on a whole host of subjects including the Israel, Palestinian conflict. I also think most informed people take for granted that the Israeli or dare I say it Zionist lobby is particularly strong in all areas including Politics, Business and media in both the UK and US and that that influence has a disproportionate effect on the thinking of general population.

Unfortunately for them I believe this overbearing and sometime unreasonable, unjust and basically dishonest influence and manipulation of the news has had the opposite effect on the general population of the UK who have now, after the lies of Iraq, become quite sophisticated at spotting people trying to hoodwink them.
