Map of the Week: The English Lawn 2:50pm on 29 Jun 2009 I've this year decided to give up on the rear lawn....sort of, going for a meadow-esque look with longer grasses and wild flowers intermingled. One box of meadow grass seed, one bag of compost and you're on your way to mowing only when it gets above 5 inches - bliss! Certainly helps bring more wildlife into the garden, requires far less tending and provides a much more fragrant, romantic and relaxing place to be :)

And to pandatank - if your wife is mowing at 8am on a Sunday morning, tell her that's damaging the grass. It should be mown in the evening when the sun's harshness has died down to prevent it from browning...plus, you never know, she may be so tired by the evening that she gives it a miss :)
Hard times and gaming 5:11pm on 23 Mar 2009 Have to agree with _Ewan_ - you clearly have no idea what you're talking about and have simply skimmed all your info off the GDC itinerary leaflet.

I'd much rather someone with a real passion for gaming went; asking a question from your user base is all well and good but what about the follow-up? If you don't know your material you may as well courier over a dictaphone and stay at home.

Sony boss and your questions 4:44pm on 08 May 2008 It's the lack of USB connectivity in the smaller hard drive versions that really gets my goat - 2 USB ports!!?!?!?! Utterly limiting for gaming with multiple peripherals that require USB. My cheapo laptop has 6 for god sake!

As mentioned above, if you're that paranoid, there are plenty of tools out there to protect you - the best of which are installable add-ons for Firefox.
Sony on the way back? 3:27pm on 07 May 2008 Another voice to add to the complaints about the way Europan customers are treated. We make up 50% of total PS3 sales and yet are treated like a second-class market.

M$ absolutely nailed the online experience from the word go though - PS3 is still a long way behind both in terms of seamless integration and driving people to play online in the first place. Sony talk the "community" talk but they aint walking the walk....yet. I await with baited breath for PS3 Home.

My main critcism with the version we get in the EU is not the hard drive size but the lack of USB connectivity - our version only has 2 USB ports when even the most basic laptop you can buy you'd expect up to 6. It's really stunting the ability of comsumers to use the device as a media hub without having to fork out for a USB expansion hub.
