What's the point of indoor athletics? 12:30pm on 19 Feb 2009 You've undone the whole point of the article with this bit at the end:

"The indoor circuit is always more relaxed and the athletes have one eye on their performances, but they know in the back of their mind it is the summer that counts.

Athletes can take the pressure off themselves and also fall back on the line "it's the summer that counts" if they underperform."

If the athletes aren't that bothered, why should the spectators turn up?

But with all the transfers since Barney, the PDC undoubtedly have the better darts overall.

Yes, you get good matches in BDO Fitton v Whitlock a good example last night and you get some shockers in the PDC like Wade v Nicholson q/f but overall the PDC is where the best darts is and that's what matters to most of us darts fans.

The crowd in the PDC are horrible yes, but that's Barry Hearn ramming as many in as he can to generate the cash, doesn't bother me, a TV viewer.

Sid is starting to get on my nerves with his constant "stacking" and "use of the lie" technical ramblings, but that's not enough for me to prefer watching inferior darts.
Capello on familiar battleground 1:04pm on 19 Nov 2008 Having an international friendly between Premier League weekends and in the middle of a qualifying campaign makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for the players or the fans and I doubt a manager can learn much in the couple of days he has them either.

Once again it's all about money. A certain number of games need to be played each year to boost the coffers, so they get rammed in when and where they can. Ridiculous.
