Its only the Ashes they have to give free to air, and even then only the home series.
Vaughn really is in no position to open up on this as he knows very little about the ECB's business.

If your only choice as a sports fan is to visit the pub to watch your sport, where does that sit with the other wing of the government that wants us all to stop drinking?
The vast majority of Rugby League is already on Sky, so them getting the Challenge Cup as well would be great as I think the BBC does an awful job of most sports. All we get are the odd games upto the Semi Finals and then the final itself.
As for Cricket, I would love to see home tests on free TV. channel 5 did a great job when it was on there.
C4 have racing nailed!
As for Football, Sky are supreme. Even with the money of Disney, ESPN are not going to touch them.
Either let everything go to where it wants, or nothing.
Haye does what he has to do 1:25pm on 08 Nov 2009 This is not about "sticking the knife" into Jim Watt, its the fact that he just didnt want to get behind Haye at all.
If he cannot get behind a brit in the ring when doing the commentary, then its time to move on.
I have all resect for his record as a fighter, I just dont rate him as a pundit and never have. Sky's pundit line up are not that good.
Nick Griffin on Question Time 10:40pm on 01 Nov 2009 The so called "answers" that the BBC have offered so far are nothing more than a bad joke.
It is looking more & more like the BBC is a leftwing organ.
There is very little "impartial" news in the UK anyway, but for the BBC to be taken over by limp wristed liberals is a step too far.
The whole manageent form top to bottom needs a shake up and they should look closely at the presenters of some of these so called news programmes.
Dimbleby was so far out of his depth on this show it was laughable.
If Mr Griffin takes the BBC to court, I think his case is a strong one.

Shame on the BBC.
Nick Griffin on Question Time 3:52pm on 01 Nov 2009 My biggest problem with all of this at the moment is getting a straight answer from the BBC about the complaint I have logged TWICE.
The first reply was the bog standard one issued on the website and the 2nd was to read this blog.
Here is the complaint:
Sirs,
Having sat & watched last night’s shambles of a show twice, just to make sure I was not paranoid, I feel compelled to write about the lack of impartiality shown in the question time audience.
I am no supporter of the BNP being of Jewish ancestry, but I cannot stand idly by and allow the BBC to virtually "ambush" the leader of a political party, no matter how odious his views are by weighting the audience with opposition views and then not allowing those few supporters of Dick, sorry Nick, Griffin to have their say.
Why were no supporters of Mr Clegg shown asking questions?
Why were the other members of the panel chosen? because they were minorities?
Let’s look at the makeup of the panel.
Token Muslim, Token Jew, Token black American and one other white Englishman. this panel were set up to try to make Mr griffin look like an idiot from the off.
Mr Griffin never stood a chance of either being heard or making a point.
Will you be inviting a radical Muslim cleric on to face a panel and audience made up of mainly right wing viewers and thinkers any time soon?
No.
Because that’s not "cool" or "trendy".
Why actually be impartial when you can just pretend?
I have no problem with any valid political party being give air time, indeed as a former soldier, I have sworn to protect these freedoms that the BBC shamelessly took away from the BNP last night

So, when will the BBC finally come clean as a left wing mouthpiece?
Never.
The entire corporation from top to bottom is biased and its getting worse.
The EDL demo in Leeds yesterday is shown on the site with a picture of an EDL member, but not one of the counter demo by asians. Why? because the BBC is determined to be biased towards the hand wringing left wing.
I am asahamed of what the BBC has become over the last 20 years or so. Far from being the impartial, upstanding corporation it once was, it has become a joke.

When will the BBC actually manage to put more out on its own HD channel? At the m,oment, its a pointless exercise watching a chat show in HD as it is not something that lends itself to the medium.
If the BBC were to actually spend some cash on making worthwhile HD content, then it wouldnt be so bad.
Nick Griffin on Question Time 6:07pm on 24 Oct 2009 and to make matters worse, the BBC cant even be bothered to respond to the 100 or so complaints about the programme.
All it has done is put a small statement on the complaints website and then emailed it out to those who complained.
In my complaint I asked 2 specific questions neither of which was answered by the rather vapid piece I recieved.
The BBC should be ashamed of what happened on Thursday night. It was shown up for being the left wing mouthpiece it has become and not the impartial broadcaster I was once so proud to defend whilst a serving soldier.
Anfield's day of destiny 2:11pm on 23 Oct 2009 This is for all the united fans to say prior to being searched ahead of entry to Anfield on Sunday, should they be searched:

In the event of a stop and search being intrusive, unlawful or malicious I pledge to issue a formal complaint to the relevant Police Professional Standards Department.
As these complaints are investigated by fellow police officers redress is unlikely to be forthcoming. I therefore pledge to pursue the issue through the IPCC and if the situation permits to issue civil proceedings against the chief constable or
commissioner of the relevant police force, seeking an
admission of liability and damages.
Regardless of the outcome, you will have your time wasted
for wasting mine.

Not on your nelly. I like Froch & think he can be a great world champ, but I refuse to cough up this sort of dough in a recession to watch it.
